Kalokeri Appartments — Hotel in Sami Municipality

We stayed in B3 a 1 bed apartment on the first floor. There is a lift to all floors. It was a lovely apartment with everything we needed. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. A basket of tea, coffee, wine, snacks etc to welcome us was a lovely gesture. The bathroom had a shower cubicle with plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure. The bedroom was big with a large wardrobe (with a free safe) and nice dressing table. The beds were too hard for us but that’s just our opinion - others might prefer a hard bed. Shutters on the windows were great to close and block out the sun for a good nights sleep. Lovely balcony with fabulous views over fiskardo harbour. There is no TV which was great for us. We didn’t use the pool but it had plenty of beds and seating areas. We felt very comfortable and safe it really is a lovely place to stay. It’s a 10 min walk to fiskardo. A Bakery and Taverna are both straight outside. The nearest beach was a 5 min walk. We booked with Ionion Holidays and the reps Andy and Gordon were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Stunning views from the balconies (all are facing the sea and Ithaca over the water) -building is up the hill outside Fiskardo hence the great vista. Also gives it a more peaceful feeling away from the daytime visitors to the village. We had a one bedroom apartment which had a spacious and airy central room with large sofa bed , coffee table and small dining table plus kitchen- small cooker with hobs was adequate for our needs. No dishwasher but only two of us so not a problem. Bedroom good sized with plenty cupboard / wardrobe space and a valuables safe. Could argue the bathroom is a little small and functional but shower was perfectly decent. Furnished simply but well throughout. Midweek cleaning . Didn’t try the A/C as here mid September and didn’t need it. Good pool with loungers and parasols and also a good view from the pool terrace- swam here most mornings but explored the nearby beaches mainly otherwise. Welcome pack on arrival with bits and bobs was a nice touch. Bakery and taverna over the road very convenient. Heaps of other places 10 min walk down the road in Fiskardo. Only suggestion for improvement would be a communal washing machine...

Good points:||Views are beautiful from apartments! ||Bakery 1 minute walk away, great for breakfast. ||Kept very clean. ||Good price for what you get. ||Close to a beautiful beach - 10 minutes walk down a hill. ||Fiskardo is 10 minutes walk down the hill.||Rep and team very friendly and helpful. ||||Bad bits:||The beds are so so so hard. I'm 33 years old and my hips and legs are sore after a week on those beds.||||No a/c in the bedroom. It's outside the room, clearly quite old as it doesn't function too great and is very noisy. ||||Pool area is OK but nothing special. So we opted for the beach, which makes up for it.||||The cost of the amazing views means that you are on top for a small hill. After an evening in Fiskardo port eating and drinking wine it is a bit of a slog walking back up. Just something to be aware of. ||||All in all we had a brilliant holiday. Loved Fiskardo. Would come back and would book with Ionian Holidays again. If we return we'd probably book something closer to...
