Melina — Restaurant in Sami Municipality

We ended up visiting Melina every day of our trip for the iced coffees, cakes and cocktails.

The freddo cappuccinos and coffees were delicious. They had a good selection of alternative milks and were happy to do specific orders for us. A piece of cake or sweet treat usually came with which was a really nice touch. We also ordered the baklava and orange pie one day, both were perfect (the orange pie was my favourite).

We were really impressed with the food and drink but we’re especially pleased with the service. All staff members went above and beyond to ensure we were happy be we would like to thank Dimitri mostly who always warmly welcomed us and gave the most friendly and professional service, and kept us coming back!

Well, I can't complain about the food. Waffle was big, crispy and delicious with fresh fruits. However, service was terrible: We were not welcomed. Had to get menus by myself Beer was served after ~7 minutes and to a wrong person (should have asked). No check on food. Bill was brought before we finished without even asking if we want anything else. Had to wait more than 10 minutes and call for the waiter to bring me the change.

And yeah, we ordered just beer and waffle cause we were already after lunch but is this really a reason to be ignored?

Visited the bakery on a cruise stop, as it was recommended by the Serbian translator on the ship, but it turned out to be underwhelming experience overall (and the recommendation was subjective 🙃). The orange pie and almond pie were very dry, tasting bland, that even the same Lidl cake costing half the price was significantly tastier. The service was slow, but it was very crowded due to many cruise ships. And there were extremely many bees on the tables near the sea (and no repellents or traps), which was a bit uncomfortable.
