Inizia a trattarmi MALISSIMO, BRONTOLANDO IN GRECO, E UMILIANDOMI DAVANTI AD UN ALTRO CLIENTE!!!! Impossibile stendere. Corridoio buio, l'interruttore vicino all'ingresso della stanza non funziona. Formiche in camera.

Absolutely beautiful garden! The room had everything we needed, an AC, a fridge, bathroom and a small balcany. We stayed 3 nights and our room was cleaned once. The owners didn't speak any english but they were welcoming and helpful! Only minus was that the balcony door was hard to use and the bathroom foor didn't dry well after we took a shower.

Worst-ever interaction with a hotel: we were subjected to attempted intimidation and aggressive behaviour by the owner and staff. I have made a complaint to the brokerage site through which I booked the room.||Read their earlier reviews and you will see this is not an isolated incident. And please read my other TripAdvisor reports to see that I am a balanced, longstanding reviewer. ||This is a guest house in a busy, high-demand, over-subscribed port town. The people who run day-to-day operations speak a few words of English. I asked our previous Greek hotelier to call the hosts ahead on our behalf to introduce us, advise them of our ferry arrival time and check that they had allocated a good room. ||On arrival - after a hasty check of a scrappy diary in the street outside by two women - we were led to a courtyard where a group of people were seated, talking. A few steps up, further inside the courtyard, there are two doors. One to the right had the key in it, the older woman walked off. I took it this was our room and opened the door. It was a fair-sized, traditionally decorated room with two single beds and a window onto the street. She returned and closed the door: no. She opened the second door to a much smaller space with a tiny (6"×6") window by the small double bed; a corner shower room and kitchenette with an assortment of well-used equipment. The only other window opened onto the interior courtyard and was obscured by dish towels drying on a washing line.||I relayed my concerns to my husband: It's really small and pokey, I don't know where we'd put our belongings, the bed isn't big enough for two of us, I'm worried about the noise from the courtyard (we'd asked for a quiet room), we wouldn't be able to keep the window open, there's little natural light. ||I asked if we could have the room next door and was told that it was reserved for three people. Considering it was now 8.30pm and I had seen two beds, this seemed improbable. ||Older woman: You book booking room, this booking room. ||The intimation being that as I had used the brokerage site, the jail cell room was all I was good for. (The only reservation method available to a non-Greek speaker.)||Cleaning lady: I clean this room, everyone like it, what you problem? What you problem? What you problem?||Older woman: You pay you go.||Yes, she really said: you pay, you go.||Then. A large shirtless man was brought over to translate. We spoke briefly, he translated and withdrew - he was a guest.||I suggested, as it was late, and the room unacceptable, we cut the stay to two nights and pay for two nights €240 cash, which was also the cancellation fee. We handed over the money which the older lady laid out on a table like exhibits in a crime (half the €480 she wanted for the full four nights).||A phone was produced and the older woman handed it to me: "Speak."||Who is this? "I'm the owner." The owner told me to pay €240, hand over our passports, which they would hold, and that I'd have to speak with the brokerage site to work out the commission she would be missing out on for a longer stay. ||This offer was unacceptable and inappropriate; the commission arrangement was between the site and the rooming house. During the extended telephone conversation the older woman hissed "Finish, finish" at me. I passed the phone back.||I relayed this to my husband - we agreed that the demands - particularly wanting to hold our passports - were unreasonable and we no longer felt safe to leave our possessions in the hotel. We said, calmly, that they had made it impossible for us to remain; we were sorry but we were leaving. My husband pocketed our cash.||(Considering the town was fully booked, we had no other options and it was evening, the decision to walk was not taken lightly.)||The older woman stood and laughed at us - like a scene from a spaghetti western - blocked us physically and grabbed our luggage, then screamed: "Money! Money! MONEY!" She bit her fist and shrieked at my husband and scrabbled at his shirt. He looked down at her and she backed off.||A second call was made to the owner, which my husband fielded, while I app'd the broker site and cancelled the reservation officially. The email came in and I showed it to both women. They could pursue the cancellation fee through the website.||The old woman called for her husband - an elderly man appeared, he looked sad and appologetic. I turned to him and said, I'm sorry we cannot stay here, this woman is horrible and very rude. He said nothing.||We picked up our bags and walked out. The courtyard guests who had witnessed all this stepped forward and shouted at the owners: enough, it's over, no more, it's cancelled. They offered us their help if we needed them.||We departed, shocked and horrified, prepared to spend a night on a bench and take the first ferry out of port.||As you can imagine this confrontation has tainted our view of pretty Fiskardo and Kefalonia. We didn't know where to turn for help, dragging our luggage through an unfamiliar and seemingly hostile port town as darkness fell. ||The booking site rep later said it's the most appalling situation she's heard to date, the complaint has been logged. They called the host to say that the matter was closed and they should not contact us. The rep also suggested I write this post to alert other potential guests.||It's not an overstatement to say we were traumatised by the ordeal. ||Dear reader, heed my warning: stay...

Nitza's Palace! I booked this place because of it's location... center of town! I like to meet locals and get to know the places and foods from a local perspective and Nitza just helped me to do that and a lot more! Her amazing flower garden was one of the reasons I saw that she rented rooms! I took the most inexpensive one for I am traveling now for some months and still have some more traveling to do! The rooms are all different, some have balcony and kitchens and mine a small refrigerator and a kettle. All rooms have private bathrooms and are very clean and typical of Greece something I really like! I have made friends with Nitza, the local Bakery owner, some people from some stores and restaurants! I loved the service at Spiros Salon around the corner from here (left side), the freshly baked goods at the Bakery on the other side (right side) of Nitza's and was lucky enough to see the inside of the church here because there is one priest for the whole island. I loved the limes at Nitza's as well as her kindness, recommendations and help throughout my 7 days at her hotel/stays! She has someone to do the laundry for €20, she even gave me some of her home made olive oil!! I am including pictures of different rooms so that you know alternatives she has... prices vary according to season and room size. She also offers a place to shower for €5 per person if you want to have a nice hot shower before dinner and are traveling around the island 🤩🥳||At her street one side is the Spiros hair and nail salon to be treated like a Greek Goddess and God go there! The other side she has Eli and her husband from here baking fresh pastries/bread etc every day!! The place is full pf restaurants and small shops with very...

|My partner and I booked 1 night at the property for 30€ - booking made via Booking.com. After a 2 hour bus ride we arrived to an extremely hostile and aggressive environment. They insisted there had been a problem with booking.com and that we could not stay for the price(to which we had our confirmation email). The hosts acted like it was our fault and said we should of known better. How are we supposed to have know better if we've never been to the place! If anyone was at fault it was them and their inability to use a computer and handle their booking system or a Booking.com error but certainly not two willingly paying customers who had done everything right. We then said "look these things can sometimes happen, can we come to some sort of agreement" to which they responded 100€. From 30 to a 100, with no budging, so much for the negotiation. We then asked if we could leave our bags whilst we go and look for a place to stay to which the answer was no - are you kidding me ? 3 hours later in 30 degree heat carrying 50 kg of luggage we found a lovely place that we'd highly recommend - reginas rooms. But come on, we got aggressively shouted at, made to feel like it was our fault and then put out on the street. Not one iota of empathy or...
