We had a wonderful one-week stay at Pera Perou Villa in Kefalonia. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by the hosts, who were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. The villa itself is beautifully designed, clean, and very comfortable — a true home away from home. The standout feature, however, was the stunning view. Whether enjoying a morning coffee or relaxing in the evening, the panoramic scenery provided a peaceful and unforgettable backdrop to our holiday. The location is ideal — secluded enough for total relaxation, yet close enough to explore the island's beautiful beaches and charming towns. The outdoor space was perfect for dining and soaking up the sun, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the property. We would absolutely recommend Pera Perou Villa to anyone looking for a serene and scenic escape in Kefalonia. We’re already dreaming of coming back!

What can I say other than it’s heaven. Has got to be the nicest villa in this part of the island and provides a secluded paradise whilst still being really easy to walk into the village. Angela who runs the villas is wonderful, does a fantastic massage, and was full of great tips about where to go on the island. Looked forward everyday to the the breakfast, delivered in a basket to you in the morning. The villa itself is stunning, with incredible views over the sea to Ithaca. The villa itself is surrounded by countryside and wild flowers full of butterflies and bees. If you’re lucky enough to find the villas available for your trip then book right now, it’s worth every penny.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa One Pera Perou! The location couldn’t be better, it’s so nice being able to walk to restaurants, and the hosts gave us fantastic recommendations for places to eat. The villa itself is beautiful, the architecture and decor are just stunning, and it has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. It really felt like a home away from home. This place is such a hidden gem, and we honestly can’t wait to come back!

Stayed in villa 2 with my family for 11 nights in July 23 and we loved it. We carefully chose villa 2 after correspondence with the then owner Kleo and were pleased with our choice. So much so that we booked again, back in October 23 for 7 nights in July 24. We enquired about availability and arranged our travel dates around the availability of villa 2 with us staying elsewhere on the island for the previous week. When booking as a repeat customer, we we enquired about discount and were offered a 10% discount on the balance if we paid by cash on arrival which we agreed to do. We paid a deposit at the time of booking of over 1200 euros for villa 2 and received a booking confirmation for villa 2.

A couple of hours before arrival we received a message from the concierge to say there was a problem with the pool pump at villa 2 and we would have to stay in villa 1. Although very disappointed, we travelled to the villa and were met by the concierge. We pushed for a little more information and were told that Kleo had actually sold the villas and was now only manging them and the new owner was in fact now staying in villa 2, having moved there from villa 1 to accommodate us. Whilst this all makes sense on the face of it, something didn't feel right with the information we were being provided.

At check in, we were immediately underwhelmed with the villa compared to villa 2. The layout wasn't as good for our family, the outside area felt smaller and the view was not nearly as good. This may sound like we were being fussy, but when paying over 5000 euros for a week, we are entitled to expect what we booked. The concierge left, having explained to us that there was no indication as to when villa 2 would be available, due to the fact that they needed to order parts from the mainland. We sat around for a while and considered our options and started to notice a number of maintenance issues with the villa which we'd not experienced the previous year in villa 2. The aircon didn't seem to be working very well which was a big concern and we raised this with the concierge who offered to return to have a look. There were also electrical cables exposed in a couple of areas in the lounge which were just taped up. Toilet doors would not stay shut. one of the toilet seats was hanging off and the paint was peeling off around the edge of the infinity pool.

We decided that we needed a better indication of when villa 2 would be ready or be offered a discount. The concierge said we should contact Kleo, which we tried to do, both by email and phone but received no answer. We were aware that Kleo was in contact with the concierge as she relayed the offer of a discount of 150 euros which we said was nowhere near being acceptable.

By 6pm we had still heard no more so we decided to leave and advised the concierge of our intentions, having wasted half a day of our holiday. We had still not heard back from Kleo with any news on the availability of villa 2 or an increased offer of discount. We offered to drop the keys up at villa 2 with the new owner but this offer was met with panic and we were told to leave the keys on the doorstep!

We put in writing to Kleo our intentions and requested that our deposit be returned as the villa we had booked and paid our deposit for wasn't available. At 7pm that evening, we received a response from Kleo trying to explain the situation, but still with no offer of any further discount or any news on villa 2. We responded to say we wouldn't be returning. Then at 9pm, somewhat miraculously we received a further email stating that we could move into villa 2 the next morning. We reiterated our position that we would not be returning and would like our deposit back.

We have been told on several occasions that we won't get our deposit back as the booking terms state it's non-refundable, even though the deposit was for villa 2 and the terms do not give the right to change the villa....

We stayed for a week in the villa for 4 people as a family for our 50th. Absolutely blown away by how lovely the villa was. Spacious, luxurious , spotlessly clean and the best view ever. We were met in person after arriving in the evening and surprised with a welcome platter of food snacks which was a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was delivered every morning in a basket to the villa with many Greek variations on breakfast which were nice to try. The view from the patio doors and the outside area were superb and we could see the mountains and sea. We felt private and secluded there, yet were minutes away from Agia Efimia harbour too. The villa had everything we needed and the pools looked beautiful. Being there at the beginning of April meant it wasn’t that hot weather wise - but meant that we felt like the only ones on the island. Whilst Kefalonia is pretty much unspoilt by tourism anyway, we also had beaches to ourselves. Would recommend visiting this time of the year. So many places to visit and see ( we had a hire car which was definitely needed ). Going this time of year avoid the heat , crowds and is way cheaper for accommodation: this villa included. Would unreservedly recommend staying here in the villa. It made our trip extra special and was a lovely base to come home to each evening after exploring. Very helpful and friendly staff who were also fab at...

Just returned from a blissful week at one of these amazing villas. Beautifully designed and stunningly situated, they are the perfect place to stay in Agia Efimia. Genuinely no idea what a previous snarky reviewer meant by it being clear that the villa was 'planned by an interior designer and not an architect'? What a bizarre comment! Yes it's nicely designed, but the level of architectural and indeed building skill required to bring a development like this to life is formidable. I can only assume this observation was based on ignorance and/or some kind of personal grudge, as his comment about the owner being rude and 'not professional' was also completely unfounded. In fact it's an extremely well run property and Kleo (the owner) and Angela (who manages things on the ground) could not have been more friendly, helpful and easy to deal with. As an additional bonus, Angela is also a top notch massage therapist, available to guests at the villa itself. All in all it was a lovely place to stay. Very much hope to repeat the experience...
