We have just returned from a week in Syraina Studios and we had a truly wonderful experience. The studios are situated at the top of a very quiet lane. They are surrounded by beautiful and peaceful gardens that are tended with love. The apartments all have big balconies, many with a sea view and they all have airers with pegs to hang out clothes. The kitchens are tiny but fully equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. We stayed in a 3 bed apartment and loved the layout with one single bed in an upstairs area and a double bed below. The studio was bright and cleaned daily and fresh towels provided every couple of days. The beautiful Troulos beach is about a 15 minute walk through some quiet alleyways (not along the road). There is excellent snorkelling at either end of the beach and natural shade under the pines. Bus stop 18 is about a 5 minute walk which takes you to most places on the island and there is another bus stop 2 minutes away which takes you to the more obscure places on the north coast. There are plenty of Tavernas scattered around and also several small, but sufficient, supermarkets a stones throw away. We literally had a perfect holiday and I cannot thank our hosts enough. If you are looking for a relaxed, peaceful and tranquil place to stay where you are completely left to your own devices, this is the place for you. I cannot rate it...
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay at Syraina’s Studios. The whole place was spotless, with fresh sheets and towels provided every few days, and the staff were endlessly hardworking, kind, and welcoming. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful, creating such a relaxing atmosphere to come back to each day.||Our studio had a tiny kitchenette, which was perfect for making drinks, though we didn’t plan to cook – and honestly, with so many great nearby tavernas and bakeries, we didn’t need to. The location is excellent: just a short uphill walk from the main road, about 5 minutes to bus stop 18 or 15 minutes to stop 20 via the little pathway by the supermarket and Oregano restaurant in Troulos. From there, buses will take you easily to Koukounaries or Skiathos Town. Shops, restaurants, and bakeries are all close by too.||It really is a beautiful, tranquil place to stay – heaven on a hill. We wouldn’t hesitate to return. Having also stayed at the 5* Elivi in June, this was such a different experience, but we loved Syraina’s Studios...
Read moreWe have just returned from 2 weeks at Syrains’s studios which are in the most peaceful, pretty setting. They are basic ( which is what we expected) but, unless you are happy with very simple self catering you might struggle a little as the kitchen area/equipment is very basic. We just had cold meats, salad, olives, bread etc which we had most nights on the delightful balcony overlooking the garden. The bathroom is very small but that wasn’t an issue. There is a mezzanine level which we only used for storing our cases. There was an issue with the air con for which you pay an extra €50 per week. The owners tried to sort it out for us but in the end we just gave up and had some very hot sticky nights. The bed, by the way, was super comfortable and the whole apt was very clean. Overall it was great value for money especially as we got it at a discounted last...
