Nectar & Ambrosia — Restaurant in Skiathos Municipality

Located at the top of a long, steep flight of steps, Nectar & Ambrosia is a pleasant restaurant that feels a little like you're eating in a greenhouse due to the huge windows. The place is full of mock antiquities, and a small water feature between two of the tables, and the staff are all dressed in gowns. It's a pleasant atmosphere, although the closer you look the more flaws you notice, such as chipped paint on all of the tables, and rips in the staff gowns.

The food is reasonable if unspectacular. We had kleftiko and it was served in a small pot. It was tasty enough but didn't have the "wow" factor we've had in other Greek restaurants we've visited. Staff were friendly, and the price was good, but it didn't really impress us enough to warrant a second visit during...

Abbiamo stanziato per una settimana nel luogo affittato dalla sorella della proprietaria del ristorante, quindi come vuole la buona tradizione ci hanno pubblicizzato il ristorante ed abbiamo detto...perché non provare, con aspettative nella media...

Ebbene, siamo rimasti non soddisfatti, ma di più sostanzialmente felicissimi del luogo tanto che siamo tornati praticamente per 3 sere in una settimana, mangiando e provando tutto quello che c’era nel menu a partire dagli appetizers fino ai secondi sia di pesce che di carne.

Non c’è stata una volta che Aspasia (la proprietaria gentilissima) non ci abbia trattato bene, non si sia fermata a chiedere come andava la cena e non ci abbia dato informazioni sulla storia di Skiathos e sull’isola. Davvero splendidi. Allego foto di alcuni aperitivi provati che abbiamo poi ripreso tutte le volte da quanto erano buoni. Le salse sono da provare come da provare le pite e la carne nonché la moussaka servita in una ciotola di terracotta come vuole la tradizione.

Che dire...Skiathos nel cuore anche grazie a voi.

Impossible not to leave a review ... We have allocated for a week in the place rented by the sister of the owner of the restaurant, so as the good tradition wants we have advertised the restaurant and we said ... why not try, with average expectations ...

Well, we were not satisfied, but more! Basically very satisfied of the place so much that we came back practically for 3 nights in a week, eating and trying everything that was on the menu from appetizers to the latter of both fish and meat .

There was not once that Aspasia (the owner very kind) did not treat us well, did not stop to ask how the dinner was going and did not give us information about the history of Skiathos and the island. Really beautiful peoples. I enclose some photos of tried-and-tested aperitifs that we have then taken up all the time from how good they were. The sauces are to try as to try the pitas and meat as well as the moussaka served in a terracotta bowl as tradition dictates.

Nectar and Ambrosia is a lovely, fresh looking Greek Restaurant. It has a good menu, the food is excellent and the staff are super friendly without being overbearing. The house wine is, as far as I'm aware the only wine offered which is unusual but it was very good. It is on the first floor of a building reached by an outside stairway. For any infirm or disabled people it has a stair lift. All in all it is a very good restaurant - we were so impressed with our first visit we returned there for dinner on our late night of...
