Ξενοδοχείο Παπαγεωργίου — Hotel in Thassos Municipality

The hotel is situated on a small hill a few meters away from the beach and the restaurants/taverns, though it is placed in between two houses and the entrance is in a small coridor and it's hard to locate when first coming to it.

The rooms are pretty clean so there's nothing really to criticize about it. They get cleaned everyday so they're spotless.

Regarding the accessibility it's not great at all. If you're someone with issues regarding walking or are in a wheelchair or anyone who fits in the "i cannot do a lot of walking up the stairs" please consider either asking to get a room on the first floor and lose all the accessibility of seeing the thing you probably paid for (the sea) or not go here at all. The hotel does have an elevator but it doesn't work at all so God forbid you get a room on the 3rd and 4th floor because you need to have an athlete's lung to get to them without panting like a dog.

The hotel offers a breakfast which is indeed repetitive but it's good. Though it offered the usual cereals, jams, vegetables, meat and cheese they do bring something new like eggs, croissants and sausages.

Low budget hotel, the communication with the owner is very professional and clear, they ask you to pay a partial deposit upfront, outside of booking but they send you an email confirmation. The hotel has maybe the best location in Limenaria. We were accommodated on the top floor, the only problem i see here are the stairs. They are very upright which i found them difficult although I’m a sports person. Definitely not recommended for older persons or small kids. The elevator isn’t working and it should. The room was very spacious with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms although it was only 2 of us. I wanted to book a room at Papageorgiu and was asked to pay a 25% deposit via bank transfer. After I made the payment, they messaged me on Booking asking me to call them. I called twice – no answer. Then they sent me a message on WhatsApp saying just “????” – which is completely unprofessional.||I replied with my name and the proof of payment. I then responded to their “????” with a sarcastic “very professional” – and their attitude immediately turned hostile. They said they’d return the money and didn’t want to deal with me anymore, despite me doing everything correctly.||This is not how guests should be treated.
