I went out with my boyfriend, planning to start with a couple of drinks, enjoy the atmosphere, and then order food. Apparently, that’s considered unacceptable here. The waiter took one look at us and decided we were just here for “a nice place to chill.” Seconds later, through his handsfree, he scolded the colleague who had seated us — presumably for not verifying if we were going to eat. If he had asked, the answer would have been “yes” anyway. It was already 8:30 PM — what’s the worst that could happen? That we enjoy a drink for 30 minutes before ordering?
When I explained we wanted drinks first and then to decide on food, he hit me with: “I will choose to believe you” — as if I had devised some elaborate scheme to sit there, exploit their precious table, and then vanish without spending the mind-blowing sum of ~50 EUR. The sheer arrogance and condescension were staggering.
Don’t get me wrong — I understand some restaurants have a policy that you must order food. And that’s fine. We were planning to anyway. But here, the problem wasn’t the policy. It was the attitude — smug, presumptuous, and dripping with the kind of superiority you’d expect from someone guarding the gates of a private club, not serving paying customers.
Make no mistake: this place doesn’t care about hospitality, only turnover. If you do eat here, be ready to do it in a hurry so they can flip your table to the next wallet. They sell themselves as “fancy,” but in reality, it’s just a tourist trap with airs. The atmosphere might fool you at first, until you realize their idea of “premium cognac” is Metaxa — a detail that says it all.
I left with zero intention of ever returning. Not because of the menu, not because of the prices, but because no amount of decor or branding can mask the cheapness of their attitude. You can recover from bad food; you can’t recover from bad character. And this...
Read moreDezamagitor!
I am updating this review in english because I feel that I was not understood 1 I understand that the waiting time may be long ( I am not that absurd) my problem was with the gavros that I ordered because everyone got their food except for me and I had to wait and stare at others eating while my dish was forgotten somewhere in the kitchen. Your colleagues brought the dish 30 minutes later after I asked about my dish and AFTER EVERYONE HAS EATEN THEIR MEALS WHILE WE WERE SITTING TOGETHER AT THE SAME TABLE. The fish was given without lemon (at first this was not a problem) but my biggest problem was that when I asked about bringing some lemon I was treated with the back! Also when I ordered the fish I specified to be more cooked so that they can be crispy! I was not asking for much but is your team’s attitude that lead to such review. I am really sorry for this but you are not paying attention to every detail as you specify in your response. I will not come back ever and hope others won’t until you revise your staff attitude regarding clients. The octopus being as hard as a shoe sole is a bonus. Once again thanks...
Read moreLater edit, response to the owner: Please read clearly: moving us was NOT suggested, it was FORCED, without being polite and without any explanation. Only after I had argued, they responded with that 3 day ahead reservation for that table. It was the attitude that bothered us, after having those beautiful pictures on the beach, this almost ruined our evening. But if you're going to call me a liar, I fully understand where the bad attitude of those two waiters comes from. Calling them short or tall is in no way offensive whatsoever! We were 4 people, not 5. And last: I had thought long about doing this negative review, I ussualy review the best moments and abstain from negative ones, but apparently I was right about this one.
I came around 8 PM and asked if they have tables available, and the short waiter said yes. I asked if he could hold one table of 4 for 30 minutes until my family arrives, and the short waiter said they don't make reservations. I said ok, and come back with my family in about 10 minutes. There still were a lot of tables available, so the short waiter says to sit wherever we want. We chose a table, and then went to take some pictures on the beach, and come back after 5 minutes to have the tall waiter come and tell us to move because that table is reserved. I tell him the other guy said we can take any table, and that there was NO reservation sign on this table. Of course they don't care, and they don't try to fix their mistake. No explanation, just some arrogant response like THAT PARTICULLAR table was reserved 3 days ago... So we moved, without any apology for their mess, nothing. Luckily the waiter that brought the drinks was in a better mood and actually smiled and had a normal conversation. The food is ok, nothing special. The service however is awful and probably will be, since they have that position and...
