ΤΟ ΛΙΜΑΝΙ — Restaurant in Thassos Municipality

Good food and excellent service. Apart from grilled and baked fish, you will have a choice to eat cooked meals too. The fish is fresh and you can take a look at it before selecting what to eat. The grilled tsipoura fish was excellent, and the tyrosalata (cheese salad) was one of the best I have eaten.

The owner is very positive and friendly, speaks good English and looks like an educated man. The bread costs 0.50 euro per person, and you get a free dessert (ice cream, yoghurt with cherry jam or whatever there is). However, we had to ask for the dessert to get it.

We waited more than 50 minutes for a single greek salad. It even came after the meal! We ordered a second bottle of water... it never came (but it was calculated in the check). The first bottle of water was served before we ordered and was calculated in the check. The glasses for water were dirty. The dishes were smaller and a bit more expensive than the other taverns. For the slow service they blamed the busy kitchen (I don't know how the kitchen forgets the bottle of water, or slows the drinks), but I doubt it, because the waiters hardly delivered more than 6 dishes to the other tables before ours for at...

The view you get from this restaurant is very impressive. You get to see the town docks with lights reflecting off the surface. And my praise ends here.

The service was extremely sluggish. My family ordered a fish dish that took more than an hour to arrive.

The food portions are very small compared to other cheaper restaurants. And worst of all, the bread they gave us when we sat at a table was billed. This is not a practice that I've experienced in other restaurants in this town. I can't...
