Villa Nostalgia — Hotel in Thassos Municipality

Average to low experience for 2 families: 4 adults and a child of 6, spent 5 nights. Good aspects: it is in a quite location and has a good outdoor pool. You can park the car on the road. 7-10 minutes walk to tavernas and a supermarket. Aspects to be improved: The bathrooms are in really need of help. They need upgrades because you feel like are bathrooms from 20 years ago. The upstairs bathroom has a door that is opening directly in the toilet, outdated design and needs a fast renovation The half bathroom at the ground floor is improvised under the stairs, a shower directly over the sink and toilet, a tall person cannot used it. Same story - needs a total refurbishment. The beds at the 1st floor have very very hard mattresses. The rooms are not large so during night you cannot sleep with the door closed , is hot and fresh air is missing. The rooms have air conditioning in each room but we are not that kind of people that are able to sleep directly in the air conditioning. So we tried to cool the rooms 3-4 hours before sleeping time, but at 2-3 a.m. was already hot in the rooms. It was imposible to sleep with the windows opened because all rooms are facing interior garden where is the pool. The filtering system from the pool is very very noisy, it stops only few minutes and starts again. Very disturbing system because also during the day is quite annoying to listen that sound all the time.

I consider the Villa suitable for a family with maximun 2 kids, not for families that are friends or relatives because was impossible during nights to close the doors from the rooms for the above reasons and also for showers we used only the upstairs bathroom . The stairs are quite difficult for kids, has no handrail and I consider them as a safety issue. Maria that is taking care of Villa is trying to accomodate the requests that you might have , but after several issues raised we were tired to complain more as we realised that she cannot change everything. After 1st night we wanted to move out , but she told us that she will not give any money back if we are leaving. All in all was a bad choise for all of us because we have not slept well. The price paid is quite high for a villa that needs maintanance as fast as possible ( the pictures are speaking...

Staying at Nostalgia was great and I had beautiful rest. Villa is perfectly located, not too far from beach and either from main road. It is place where you can in peace enjoy beautiful nature, garden and cool off in a pool which I highlight. Interior is well designed and maintained, rooms are big, clean and very good equiped.
