Just returned from 2 weeks of beautiful sunshine right on the beach. The hotel location is perfect. Sunrise is spectacular. Views are equally amazing. |The staff are lovely, Yannis who looks after the bar in the afternoon was a great host, very good English. He is due to complete National Service in November and he's looking forward to it. Makes a change from our young adults here in the UK. |The owner greets you by name whenever he sees you. |Rooms are cleaned daily and linen changed regularly. |Air con is 12 euro per day. |Safe is included in the price. |The only complaints we heard was the food. Now to be clear they don't have the usual all inclusive menu. No burgers etc. It's all authentic greek dishes cooked fresh daily, with brilliant salad bar with plenty of feta cheese. Konstantin the owner explained that all meat and vegetables are sourced locally and it's what they eat. We loved it, very tasty. If you have kids then maybe not for you really as no ice creams etc through the day, only at meal times. |Drinks are all served in plastic containers. |No kettle in the rooms so if you need a brew first thing then bring your own. That's what we did. |The guests are mainly Chech, Polish, Hungarian and some British, more British on the 2nd week when UK schools returned after the school hols. |All in all my wife and I had a fantastic holiday, met a lovely couple from Doncaster for afternoon drinks. |There is a good little supermarket next door, also a great pool/snack bar at Paradise apartments about 50 metres away. |Konstantin Beach is a lovely...
Read moreMyself and our two daughters had a fantastic time staying at Konstantin Beach Hotel. The room was kept spotlessly clean, linen changed frequently etc. Never had to ask for anything. Balcony with a great sea view. We opted for Air Con at an additional 12 euros per night. Well worth it as temperatures hovered around 35. You could choose to have it on one day, off the next and only pay for the days used. As the name suggests the hotel is right on the beach. Pebbly for the first few metres then beautiful soft sand. Easy to see fish with the naked eye in such clear blue waters. Depth was fantastic, far out and still only up to mid chest max. Great for safe swimming. Plenty of free sunbeds. The food on offer was excellent. Usually available over a two hour slot, per meal, buffet style. Great greek classics, salads, mains and pudding. Squash, water and coffee available all day and free alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks from 11am to 11pm. What's not to like? Location, a short walk via the beach or road to a great selection of shops, pharmacy, ATM, restaurants and bars. A little further along to a bigger selection. We went on a boat day trip round the island, which was fab. Finally a massive shout out to Konstantin himself, who was the perfect host and to Doris, too. They organised for a cake to be made locally, for our daughters 18th birthday, complete with their names and sparkles. When I tried to pay them, they wouldn't accept anything! How amazing is that? Thank you for making our holiday so special...
Read moreJust came back from 9 nights of pure heaven after staying at Konstantin beach hotel. We arrived late and were greeted with the warmest of welcomes from Konstantin, who had provided sandwiches and water as the restaurant was closed. No time consuming check in or paperwork needed, Konstantin showed us to our room and explained how the aircon worked (12 euros per night and needed in August!). The next day Konstantin greeted us by name and asked if we were enjoying our stay and offered to help with any information we needed about the resort. All the staff were friendly and pleasant, especially Yanni who worked the bar area. Rooms were cleaned daily and had regular changes of towels and bed linen. The hotel was full but didn't seem to be as we always had lots of choice of where to sit in the dining area or around the pool. Didn't queue once at the bar. The food is limited compared to other all inclusives, but was always tasty traditional Greek fare. The hotel has a lovely relaxed feel to it, and the staff make you feel like a really welcome guest and not just another punter. The location right on the beach is perfect with breathtaking scenery and unbelievable sunsets. Only a 10 min walk into Alykes town with ample tavernas and shops to visit. On our last day Konstantin hugged us both and thanked us for choosing his hotel, and said he hoped to see us again next year- which he...
