I was very disappointed by the services of Hotel Casa Blanca Inn. To start off, the check in process was very cumbersome, and they seemed to be not expecting me even though I had confirmed my stay with them multiple times. Furthermore, I had arranged for the hotel to give me a city tour the next day and when I tried to confirm about it with them, they seemed to have no idea what was going on.||The room was mediocre, and had no air conditioning or hot water. Wifi worked fine.||I paid for this booking via credit card on booking.com and my card statement showed the fee as charged. However, after departing, I received a series of angry emails and Whatsapps (Yes, they go so far as to harass you on Whatsapp) claiming that I had not paid. This was in spite of the fact that I had my printed pre-paid confirmation on booking.com and which was acknowledged by the hotel upon my arrival.||It is clear that the hotel puts customer satisfaction secondary to their business needs and as such, should not be recommended...
Read moreHotel did not look like the pictures online. I called to reserve the night before and the lady advised me that the main hotel was out of rooms, but that there was a Hotel Casa Blanca 2, which had the same accommodations. We checked in and the rooms were not as pictured. We left and went to Hotel La'aurrora. I tried to get my money back before leaving, but the lady said she couldn't refund the money on my card. She called her supervisor and said her supervisor would have to come and refund the money back to my card, but that she wasn't available until 9pm or 10pm that day. I gave the front desk lady my number and name and told her to have her supervisor call me whenever she came so that I could get my money back. They never called and I left the country the next morning. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, the customer service was poor and they did not try to resolve the...
Read moreI had to stay overnight as the road to Antigua was blocked by a landslide. I should have gone with the four hour detour. My first room seemed to be above a construction site and couldn't be opened with several keys, or by the porter banging on the door and calling on someone inside (to be clear, this was intended to be an individual room). The second was probably a converted garage. There was mould on the walls, hair on the bed, and a hole in the metal door. When I went back to reception to ask for a clean room inside, I got the shocked pikachu face response, but also an indoor room. With aircon that sounds like a jet engine, but only the bathroom is mouldy so I'll stick with it because I am tired, but I'd advise anyone else to...
