VILLAS JUCANYA — Hotel in Panajachel

We loved our stay at Villas Jucanya. We arranged for pickup from the airport and it went very smoothly. The villa was beautiful. It was perfect for our party of four. Could have housed even more. It has everything you could want for a stay and then some.||My Spanish is not great but the staff at Jucanya was able to get me on the phone with English speaking help and got us in touch with Adrenalina Tours. Between the staff at Villas Jucanya and Adrenalina Tours we were well taken care of. Raul and Lorenzo were two of our tour guides and were fantastic. Highly recommend.||We loved our stay in Panajachel and hope to come back and stay at Villas Jucanya.||||Note:||--You are not right on the lake, but it is a quick 5 minute walk (probably less than that).||--You are not in the center of town but we liked that and had zero problems getting to where we needed to be quickly. They can call tuk tuks for you. Also for some of the tours, the boats will pick you up and drop you off right at the beach.||--Adrenalina Tours was great. Ask for Diego. He went above and beyond and was super helpful our entire time in Panajachel. Our trip would not have been the same without him. The staff at Villas Jucanya recommended him to us.||--ATMS were easy to find in town to get Guatemalan money. We did exchange some at the airport. Not sure if we got the best value but it was...

I will call it "home away from home" beautiful 3 bedroom villas with a nice area to park, rest and play, each villa has all the essentials that you need, I would recommend it to anyone coming to visit Lake Atitlan. Aaron (manager) was very friendly from the moment I called to make the reservation to the moment we checkout. He checked on us when we (2 couples and 2 children) arrived to Guatemala city to make sure everything was as planned. The place is amazing and a few feet from the lake. At night it was very quite, which it was what we needed after a long flight and drive. Since the place is at the end of the road it isn't too much to do at night BUT don't worry it's better because you can enjoy a peaceful night and look at all the lights of the little town around the lake, everything from the balcony of your villa. If you are for an exciting night just tell the guard (another friendly guy) to get you a Tuk Tuk (funny and cheap mini taxi) to take you to the restaurants, bars, and clubs that there are in town. We stayed at Villas Jucanya this past September. It was recommended by a friend. What a great experience. We arranged our reservation from the States and it was a simple process guided by the Property Manager. He was extremely helpful. On the day of our arrival, I contacted him to recommend a private boat to cruise Lago Atitlan. He was very nice and arranged everything for us. The next morning we had a very nice Boat Captain waiting for us at 8:30 in the morning and we had the best time our our lives boating all around Lago Atitlan. We stopped at Casa del Mundo, suggested by Property Owner for Breakfast. The setting and food were amazing. I highly suggest Villas Jucanya for a wonderful occasion. We stayed at the Main House that sleeps about 8 Persons. Very Clean. Kitchen is stocked with the essentials for longer stays. Nice clean dishes, running refrigerator if you're planning to bring extra munchies. We were on vacation mode so ate out both days. Great views to the Lake and Jaw Dropping Volcanoes from the Hammocks on the property. Can't wait...
