We stayed for 2 nights in a double room with private bathroom and AC. ||We only used the hotel as a transit point so I can't comment on how good its location is. It's a confusing city and there didn't seem to be much around other than roads and fast food restaurants. The room we had was fairly quiet considering the chaos outside. ||The room was a good size with the added bonus of a fridge. The bed was gigantic. There was a good level of cleanliness. Hot water in the shower.||There is no breakfast is included but you can pay additional to have it. We did and asked for it in the room. Apparently this meant me going downstairs to find the breakfast when it didn't arrive and watching a lady shove our pancakes into a microwave before putting them back in a takeaway box with some chopped apple that was going brown because it had been chopped hours ago. Why they didn't bring us our breakfast I do not know. Disappointing! Coffee is available all day long.||There is a kitchen and various areas for communal use. ||Wifi was not working on our floor, we had to go downstairs. ||The staff were very helpful with taxis, transport research...
Read moreThere were so many little things that really set this hotel apart: Filtered water dispenser that provides hot water, washer/dryer available to guests, desk in common area for guest PC work with strong Internet/WiFi connections, Inexpensive packed local breakfast to eat at breakfast table, in room, or on the road. Beyond that, the staff were helpful, checking what I might need and that all was well. The room is large and had a nook to keep the suitcases out of the way. It is located in Palmira which is a safe neighborhood and has many shopping/dining options. The drawback is that the streets are not walker friendly. Most will want to take taxis, the radio taxi used by the hotel seems to be a good option. Although it seems that the hotel is located in the one block that does not have a fried chicken restaurant, there are a number of delivery options recommended. The terraces are public areas, some rooms windows...
Read moreWhat really made the hotel were the staff. They were all, without fail, welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived late (2 hour delay with bus) and the night manager could not have been more accommodating. The room was spacious, with balcony and AC. The beds were really comfortable and we had such a good nights sleep. The shower and bathroom was clean. Good coffee available 24hrs downstairs. Free wifi and the baleada or fruit and pancake breakfasts were both fantastic. The hotel was safe and secure and we would happily...
