+: Nice location, historic building, nice staff and a very well functioning A/C. ||-: safety box out of order, spider webs in the corners, hanging/broken shower holder, "sorry we ran out of espressos", three random chairs on the roof terrace but no table, SPA is a large room on the mezzanine floor with some chairs, an infra cabin and a jacuzzi, baby beds randomly stored on the corridor of the "executive" floor, reception at the front desk gently directed us to the "executive" building, which is an appx 100m walk on the head-stoned street but forgot to offer at least my wife some help with shlepping the luggage, room ran out of toilette paper had to ask for it separately ||All in all a lovely place that is just simply not high-end, not mentioning "executive". All good intentions but no experience/skills/willingness to treat guests at the level of service the place promotes itself. Just a few final touches, some attention to the guests, especially if they are obviously newly married and until then some humbleness when it comes to labelling and...
Read moreStayed in this hotel for a week in August of this year. The room was very dark, since didn’t have any English channel although they promised, we couldn’t read or watch tv. We killed 4 spiders. The shower had no glass closer, water was standing all over. The last night the ceiling light went out and my husband went down to report it. The front desk young man gave a bulb to my 77 year old husband to change it!!! High ceilling, so he had to step on a unstable chair, very dangerous but this doesn’t bother the young man, who didn’t even came up. The bulb didn’t work, when I went down, this is the respond I got, “ I give you an other one if it works, works if not, it’s not. 😳 No manager or repair man is available at this two 4 star hotel, ( the other one is Anna Hotel, supposed to be highly rated.? We never experienced such a rude and poorly run hotel in our life. After numerous phone call we got an other night lamp, after...

Unfortunately I let this urge to take over and have spent last weekend at Ipoly Residence. It was a disappointing experience, I am afraid. It has been a while since I had my duvet filled with cotton wool and the pillows with sponge ... The walls and the carpet were positively dirty and every morning we woke up to kitchen smells of the unpleasant variety. As others have pointed out before me: no shower curtain either. All this for EUR 200.00 a night? Never again, thank you. Over-confident reception staff in main building have absolutely on idea what hospitality means, they behave as if they are doing you a favour letting you stay in their mediocre...
