Carolina Cafe and Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Balatonfüredi járás

I did some research ahead of time and learned that the restaurant was card-payable, which was perfect for a traveller like me. I also checked the reviews ahead of time and everyone had great things to say about their restaurant service, which gave me the courage to walk in alone. So, I got a perfect hospitality. They were very warm, friendly and prompt in their service, observing my needs and providing me with English menu at my request. I was also very impressed with their politeness and smiles. I made a conservative meal choice of beef soup and classic coffee with cake, and surprisingly the portions were large enough that I was very full for one person. The food was more flavourful than most places, and special mention needs to be made of the coffee (I've somewhat forgotten its name), which was the best I've had in a long time and would recommend anyone to experience it. It is hard to write a review about a place where I keep going back for 15 years now. Absolutely a signature spot in Balatonfured - the best place for incredible cakes and other sweet creations with a great location, by the water, offering breakfast from 9am. Their lovely, sunny terrace is turned into a cosy winter patio with heaters and blankets for the chilly season and during summer there are evenings with live music, too. The quality and the portions of the in-house made goodies based on traditional recipes are out of this world and no matter when I go back over the years I know surely I get the same taste and service. Their cake menu is so extensive, I still haven't tried all of them as I always want to have my favorites, too. A posh place, nicely designed interior but crowded. Friendly staff trying to work through the crowed. Outside heated seats are not really environment friendly. It's winter and cold - so give a damn and stay inside. Have to update my recension... Apparently the place is owned by a new team. And that totally destroyed the good impression. The service is very annoying. The lady, maybe the owner (?) is trying to talk people passing by into the restaurant. That is a No-Go. Füred is not a cheap tourist city. If I want a coffee I look for a café. I don't need to be hooked up by somebody. The other owner seems to be commanding who is to be seated where. I can make up my own mind. No need for directions.
