Sailing Restaurant — Restaurant in Balatonfüredi járás

We visited this plae twice. The experience was completelly opposite. 1st visit: Four stars It happened in 2017 or 18 in a sunny authumn afternnon, heading home on the M7, decided to use the afternoon for an excursion with tke kids. We took the ferry and after a short visit at Tihany we ended up hungry at this restaurant. The prices were moderately expensive but the view and freedom it gave worth it. Kids had fun on the shore while waiting for the food. We ate nothing special. You know the trinity for kids, spagetti bolognese fried cheese and coke. Something less conventional for ourselves. It made not memories but was nice. We decided to come back.

2nd try (2019.11.16): Zero stars This happened at the authumn of 2019. Only me and my wife. We arrived for lunch before check in to the hotel nearby. Ordered two dishes. Fish soup and a wok dish which was described as rosted duck breast with toasted pasta and wok fried vegetables and ground almond on the top. The service was incredibly fast. We have not waited more then 10 minutes for the whole. Initially they brought bread and green "paprika". Then both dishes arrived the same time.

I barely was able to taste twice my dish. The meat was stinky the pasata was bolied - not rosted - and swimming in the bell-pepper liquids. I had put aside my dish and finished it. (this was the first case ever in my life I sent back a food. I grow up on school-meal and eat usually everything...) The waitress recognised that something is wrong and came on her own. I expleined my concenrs, and she offered to fry my dish again. This was somewhat a missunderstanding. I thought She wanted to fix the current dish. But then she made it clear that they want to prepare it again. I rejected that and told to try someting different (I usually don't eat duck, but order in restaurats dishes what I don't eat frequently. And had a thought that perhaps the duck itself is so much different from pork or beef that I just feel it's natural smell bad) Since that I had duck on several other places and there is nothing wrong with duck smell. That dish was simply spoiled.

While my next dish ("túrós csusza") was beeing prepared - took about 30 minutes!... I tried my wife's fish soup. The soup was nice, but the bread is something a restaurant like this sould not serve. It was that sliced factory-made bread sold in plastic bags, that lasts for a week becaues of the preservers. And even it was dried out. C'mon. Go to the cheapes store and buy the cheapest fresh bread. Even that is better if you sell it on the same day. Bread you serve to these dishes should have crounchy bread crunch and some taste. Thes plastic-bag sold breads are like sawdust.

My new dish was actually really good but I ordered that as I was not able to imagine how to make that so wrong that I can't have it (think about the scool-served ones. Noting can be worse than those :) Still it was perfect. Althoug it took 30 minutes to serve. :(

After we finished, I called the waiter, and paid. They had not asked anything, offered anything if they were able to fix our experience or meet the expectations. Nor offered let's say a desert for free. Or anything.

I will never go back to here again. Next day we found a nice pizzeria nearby where we paid 25% of what we spent here and we enjoyed a lot what they served and the atmosphere as well.... that is going to be an another review.

Visszatérő vendégek vagyunk, ha Balatonfüreden járunk mindig betérünk egy finom vacsorára vagy ebédre, plusz a kiszolgálás is mindig tökéletes, egyszóval az eddigi tapasztalatunk mindig pozitív volt a múlthéti ott fogyasztott vacsoránk elfogyasztása után viszont nem szándékozunk többet oda menni. Szomorú meglátásainkat úgy írom le, hogy én immár 10-ik évemet töltöm vendéglátósként. Egy kedvesnek tűnő fiatal hölgy vette fel az asztalunkat, a rendelés nem volt nehéz mivel ketten voltunk. Saját részemre egy alkoholmentes Mojitot kéretem és ketten kértünk egy 1l-es uborkás limonádét, nemsokra meg is kaptunk az ital rendelésünket. Viszont nem egyből picit később vettük észre, hogy mi 2-szer 1l-es limonádét kaptunk plusz a koktél. A fiatal felszolgáló hölgy nem volt asztal közelben így a kollégájának jeleztük, hogy mi csak egyet kértünk, nem is problémázott, elvitte. Viszont amit utána szemünk és fülünk láttára láttunk-hallottunk, hát az nem volt méltó! A hölgy felháborodva odajött az asztalunkhoz és pofa vágással a szemünkbe mondta (már pediglen ő emlékszik hogy mi 2l-ert kértünk) mondtunk hogy nem, nem kértünk 2l-ert, ezután a kollégával a szemünk láttára a placcon, velünk szemben elkezdte mondani a magáét, és vágta hozzá a fejeket (amiket nem szeretnék részletezni)…….. Borzasztóan idegesek lettünk, hogy mégis mire véljük ezt??! Szívünk szerint felálltunk volna és elmentünk volna úgy, hogy az ételrendelésünket már leadtuk, mert nem csak mi, de szerintünk más se nézte volna ezt jó szemmel, azt hozzáteszem, hogy mi abszolút nem vagyunk azok az emberek, akik elmennek valahova és hibát keresnek akár az ételben vagy a felszolgálók munkájában, mi csak jól szerettük volna érezni magunkat kettesben egy finom vacsora közben…. De ha szakmailag kicsit körül tekintőbben nézem akkor van pár meglátásom az esettel kapcsolatban! SOHA NEM KÉRŐJELEZD MEG A VENDÉGET, HA MÉGIS AKKOR NE ILYEN FORMÁBA!!! HA ESETLEG NEM VAGY MAGADBAN BIZTOS VAGY ÉPP FÁRADT VAGY, (AMI NEM INDOK ERRE, MERT A VENDÉG NEM EZT FOGJA NÉZNI) AKKOR LEGYEN NÁLAD EGY PAPÍR MEG EGY TOLL!! VENDÉGET SOHA DE SOHA NEM VÉLEMÉNYEZÜNK, FŐLEG NEM ÚGY, HOGY ÉSZREVEHETŐ LEGYEN SZÁMÁRA, MERT EZZEL KELLEMETLEN HELYZETBE HOZOD SAJÁT MAGAD IS A VISELKEDÉSED MIATT, ÉS ŐT IS MERT NEM BOLDOGAN FOGYASZTJA EL AZ ÉTELÉT-ITALÁT!! Vártuk, hogy majd egy „elnézés” vagy valami hozzá hasonlót kapunk, de sajnos nem. Ha egy kicsit is logikusan gondolkozott volna a hölgy, mért is kértünk volna 2-en, 2-szer 1l-er limonádét és mellé még egy koktélt, de ha még így is lett volna mert van, hogy így van, és ő nem biztos a rendelésben, mért nem jött oda és kérdezte meg újra???! Mikor kértük a számlát egy úriember hozta ki. Hozzáteszem, hogy 16 ezer ft-ot fizettünk a kettő főételért és az italokért, a fő pincér, aki fizetett, megjegyezte, hogy a levettük azt az egy limonádét, amivel probléma volt, illedelmesen megdicsértük az ételt, próbáltam volna ezt a helyzetet elmondani, de ő se vette figyelemben, vagy inkább meg sem akarta hallani……. Úgy éreztették velünk, hogy még a mi hibánk volt, ez az egész, persze tudom, hogy vendég háta mögött nagyon sokféleképpen kilehet magyarázni a saját hibánkat, de azért emberek vagyunk és szerintem nem ezt a kiszolgálást érdemeltük volna akár mi akár más emberek. Ami pozitív volt hogy az étel nagyon finom volt ismét!! Mint szakmabeli számomra elítélendő ez a stílus, ez a hozzáállás, ez a kiszolgálás. Bízunk benne hogy más visszatérő vendégeknél nem fog...

DISGUSTING PEOPLE AND EXPERIENCE!! GREEDY AND MONEY HUNGRY.

My girlfriend I were going to purchase something at their cake stand outside with coffee. She asked to go to the bathroom inside first and the man said "yes no problem". He stalked her when she walked out demanding her to pay 500. She told him we were buying something and he accused her of lying. He pointed to a sign that was hidden from the public behind a door that no one could have ever seen saying you must pay 500, which is far above the average price to use a public toilet. My girlfriend cried after as the man made her feel SO UNCOMFORTABLE following her through the restaurant to make sure she was giving him money. Horrible like we were some sort of thieves while just trying to enjoy our vacation.

We would have ended up spending more money getting a cake and coffee if they were not so money-hungry...
