Mariposa Apartments — Hotel in Budapest

Mariposa Apartments are a terrible and dirty place. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a smell of sewage mixed with cigarette smoke, so I assume smoking had taken place in the room. The smell didn’t go away even after three days of intensive airing. The internet didn’t work, and we had no hot water. We complained about it twice at the reception, and it was finally fixed on the third day, but the internet still kept cutting out. We were staying with two children, so being without hot water was very unpleasant.

As for cleanliness—there’s not much to say. The small pillows were so dirty we didn’t even use them... and ended up buying our own, as the pillows and duvets provided felt like single-use items—low quality, just shapeless stuffing. Their website claims daily cleaning, but we didn’t see a cleaner for four days.

I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation to anyone, especially not to families with children. The only positives were the walking distance to the metro and Tesco. For the price, you can definitely find better accommodation...

In the apartment number 8 the bathroom smells like piss, whereas later this smell spreads to the whole room. After trying to ventilate the apartment with opened window and door it did not help. In the end, we decided not to stay there and drive further without sleeping. Moreover, the sheets looked not clean, whereas just changed the side, inside out. The check-in was smooth tho and private parking spacious. Overall, I would not recommend to anyone...

Schrecklichste Unterkunft in der ich je war! Wir hatten Zimmer 7, ich glaube die Zimmer mit kleineren Nummern in der Nähe der Rezeption sind besser, aber durch den freundlichen Gang wurden wir hindurch geführt bis eine weitere Außentür kam und es ekelhaft nach Zigaretten stank.

Unser Zimmer war definitiv ein Raucherzimmer obwohl in unserer Buchungsbestätigung stand "nicht rauchen". Es stank so sehr dass selbst die Kleidung in den Reisetaschen nach einer Nacht dort so stank, dass man es noch roch als wir wieder Zuhaus waren.

Es gab eine Schublade mit Geschirr welches nicht gewaschen war, jemand hat es nahc dem Essen einfahc schmutzig dort reingelegt udn niemand hat es je gereinigt. Absolut widerlich.

Hellhörig war es auch furchtbar. Man hörte jeden Schritt und jedes Wort auf dem Gang und das schlimmste war, dass Samstag früh um 7 Uhr Handwerker vor unserer Tür mit renovieren begannen.

Es gab einen kostenlosen Parkplatz aber wir hätten besser im Auto schlafen...
