Wesselényi Hotel Győr — Hotel in Győri járás

We recently visited Gyõr for a long weekend and spent 2 nights of our holiday at this hotel. Our first impressions were very good. The girl on the front desk was very friendly and helpful and allowed us to leave our car in the car park several hours before the official check-in time.||The hotel is compact and only 10 minutes walk from the city centre but unfortunately our side didn't have a lift. Our room (although very comfortable) was on the 3rd floor.It had the usual tv and fridge and also complementary bottled water and chocolates and a/c. Wifi was also almost non existent in our room although reception was excellent downstairs. ||Overall, the hotel is was immaculately clean and the breakfasts were great with a really good selection of hot and cold dishes and the staff were very friendly. ||We would definitely stay here again due to the friendly staff,...

I am not usually a picky person, but the hotel is a total mess.

Pros: not very expensive good location AC smoke detectors

Cons: the receptionist doesn't speak the least of English the parking is basically the backyard and it has no more than 5 parking places, while the hotel has way more rooms. The guest which arrived after us were not lucky enough to get a parking spot not a single shower gel the bed sheets are old and do not feel clean at all there was literally food on the floor, mixed with dust carpet was stained

Conclusion: I wouldn't recommend this hotel, not even to my worst enemy and I would definitely not classify the hotel...

My stay was in Oct 2017, I stopped in the middle of a road trip. The restaurant was really pretty decent, even if it was probably bag and heat. The room was in an annex building, the bed was ok for comfort, the bedding was not- it was an odd stretch piece, with hairs on the actual mattress. Many lights were not working, the fridge was noisy. Parking included but was a bit crowded. The worst was the bathroom, it was worn and had NO SOAP. It had dispensers and upon arrival I used soap from the dispenser by the sink, turns out that was the last, there was nothing in the shower dispenser, learned it while in the shower. ...
