I would give 0 Stars, but it's not possible.
I was along stay guest. I was there in the beginning of the year twice for 28 nights and 20. First time all was great, and I stayed in a fully equipped apartment that even had a clothes washing machine, for the price of a normal room because I needed a table to work on my laptop and the normal rooms don't have one also the mini bar fridge was not working, so they provided the apartment for the price of a normal room or deluxe room. Until here, all good, I paid around €2400 for the 28 nights.
What happened next left me wondering what happened, as it was very strange.
Second time I was supposed to stay 28 nights again so I booked a deluxe room, because the normal rooms are very small, you cannot even move on the shower, and I'm not a big person, and the apartment is very expensive at normal rate. Unfortunately, the deluxe room I got has windows that are facing the main street and the glass is not sound insulated (just a single very thin glass panel on very old wood windows) and the windows are basically on the floor because of the configuration of the room. They did not have a different one I could change to. Also, there is a business on the side or under the room that has a frickn squeaking door that opens and closes very loudly what looks like every five minutes so don't stay in Room 4 if you need to sleep during the day (which was my case because I was there for work and was on night shift) but those are not even the main issues. Also the Wi-Fi speeds are just incredibly slow, it was like i was back in 2001...
One week before I leave, on a Saturday (I had worked night until 7am) I had a do not disturb sign on the door, but that did not stop the poor young receptionist that emailed me at 11am telling in a very rude way to go to the reception to pay for my stay one week before I leave to knock on my door at 13pm with the bill in his hand...??? I asked why they wanted me to pay for the complete stay one week before I leave, and he did not have an answer, so I told him to call his manager and ask, did not get a proper answer, so I just left the same day to a different hotel for the rest of my time in Hungary.
Do not recommend, very expensive for the quality and very rude management, they don't even talk to you themselves, they send the employees and did not give me a reason for asking to pay for the complete stay one week before I leave. I spent around €4500 in two months and took several colleagues to stay there as well and this is the treatment I get??
Very, very bad, I have stayed all around Europe for work in multiple hotels and I had never had this happen anywhere before. And this was my second stay there, so I suppose they were not afraid my credit was bad, since my colleagues and I had already spent a lot of money there.
What a...
Read moreWe live in Hungary and have travelled a lot within the country - this is great little gem of a hotel, stylish (chic/modern if that’s your thing) the beds are v comfortable, big bathroom, spotless - a high standard for a countryside hotel and INCREDIBLY good value!
Perfectly located right in the centre of Kecskemet, it was a wonderful surprise to get a free parking space.
I really don’t get some of the negative reviews, moaning about noise (people are so mean) the place was silent. We stayed in room 17.
For this standard at this price IS extraordinary and rare in my book. We went to the Italian Bistro Olivola a short walk through the town (excellent) for dinner - so these two make a great combination for a short stay here.
We will definitely use again (and I am quite the fuss-pot). Congratulations 👏...
Read moreOur stay at this hotel is unfortunately the worst we've experienced so far. The room did not meet the expectations set by the description and pictures, and there were several issues that made our stay uncomfortable. Instead of the double bed we expected, we were given two single beds, and the room was cramped and located in the attic. We're used to a different standard, but what really made things worse was the unfriendly and unhelpful receptionist. If the receptionist had at least attempted to show some understanding or offer assistance, our experience might have been different. Unfortunately, we cannot...
