My husband and I were travelling through Europe and decided not to stop overnight in Budapest, as usual, as it is always crowded and it takes time to get on the road again. We chose Kecskemet by chance, we chose Fabian Panzio because it was available and it showed the garden around which there were the rooms. We liked it so much and decided to book for one night. It was a good choice, the car was safely locked inside the yard, the room was very good and comfortable, there was enough space in the room, we even had a table and chairs, a place to make coffee or tea, a small fridge, a tv set.The place was silent and pleasant, we had a very good night sleep. Our surprise was the arrangement for dinner. We paid for it, hoping for something local. We received instead a voucher for a dinner at a small restaurant not far from the B&B/hotel. It included the main course, bread and salad. We had a choice of several dishes. They accepted the voucher and we only paid for the beer. We had a good meal and experienced a nice evening with many locals spending their time there. Everything was fresh and tasty, we really enjoyed it. Going to breakfast the next day was a pleasure, we crossed the garden and enjoyed the flowers and trees...Breakfast was satisfactory, good quality. The staff we met were pleasant, spoke English, helped us with the necessary information and directions. It was a clean, pleasant, calm place that we appreciated very much after a day on the road. The garden is still in our hearts! We'll go there again if our travels take us through...
Read moreWe arrived at the Fabian Panzio mid Sunday afternoon. We were greeted by Anita and shown our room and the facilities - all as described and in great condition. Anita is wonderful - she could hardly have done more to help. There are few restaurants open on a Sunday evening in Kecskemet but she made numerous calls until she was able to make us a reservation. The next morning we had to leave early so did not book the optional breakfast, which looked good, by the way. Nevertheless, Susan the owner, insisted that we had a coffee before we left||All in all, a great place - I heartily...
Read moreThis is a very nice guest house in the center of Kecskemet. Tastefully arranged, quiet, and clean. The rooms are small but have basic equipment that can make your stay convenient, such as a small stove, fridge, and a small table. The staff is very friendly and speaks English, French and Spanish. Everything that is located in the city center is at a walking distance. A couple of very good restaurants within minutes from the guest house. We enjoyed our stay very much. Highly...
