Goveia Resorts Anjuna — Hotel in Anjuna

after long search from MMT and Trip advisor reviews, decided to book Goveia Boutique resort, Anjuna for 3N4D.||||First-of-all let me thank Mr Sudhanshu (Manager) who gracefully allowed to extend the stay for 2.5 hrs despite of 10:00AM check-out time.||||1. if you are entering Goa late evening, it is hard to find the resort. but still it has good landmark of :behind NEW POLICE STATION, ANJUNA" just ask anyone about this landmark, and you will be reaching there.||||Hotel entrance is a "Show Spoiler".||||2. rooms are big in size. i had booked deluxe room. they have 2 pools, one near to restaurant entrance and other one is in middle of bungalows. pools are neatly maintained.||||3. their open restaurant is an attraction.||||4. rooms are big but not cleaned. bathrooms are in pathetic condition. Dead skin cells caused "floor colour as red and yellow" bucket was not upto mark. room paint was Ok ok. ||bedsheet and blanket provided was dirty. looks like as if not washed from past 20 days.||pillow cover was torn.||||5. food was good. we had food at resto as we arrived late. it was prepared as per our say (less spicy/oily)||||6. Next day breakfast. very very limited option. Bread butter/jam and 1 Indian (it was poha)||7. 2nd day breakfast very very limited option. Bread butter/jam and 1 Indian (it was aaloo prantha)||8. 3rd day breakfast very very limited option. Bread butter/jam and 1 Indian (upma)||ok ok breakfast in short :)||||9. towels provided in bathroom was stinking.||||Check-in was smooth and so as was the checkout.||||But still resort was fully booked, and lots of check-in was being done, when i checked-out||because it is just 5 mins drive to Anjuna beach, 10 mins to bagha/calangute.||It is not a beach resort.||||I must say, for budget hotels stay, resort is good. Goveia resort is very close to Anjuna beach and is perfectly located in a calm place. Its about 7km from calangutte and baga. ||The resort is well maintained with good rooms (prefer deluxe room) and a beautiful swimming pool. They provided very good breakfast. The manager Mr.Harish was very jovial and made sure we enjoyed our stay. He arranged us rental bikes at reasonable rates.||We went during monsoon time and hence the stay was really worth the money (heard the cost is almost double during other seasons!!).||If you are staying here ensure that you go to hilltop (road opp Anjuna Police station) for a breathtaking view of both Anjuna and Vagator beaches and don't forget to carry a bottle of your favourite whiskey there if you are going...

The Goveia Resort in Anjuna is a wonderful location to unwind and relax with a combination of apartments and attached hotel with the Ginger Tree restaurant. The grounds are well maintained and tropical with two very clean pools. The restaurant serves good value meals delivered to your apartment or room. The resort has 24 hour security and is a short walk from the centre of Anjuna. All the staff are friendly and helpful and offer great service. The Manager is particularly helpful in arranging day trips and tours around Goa. For a very peaceful and relaxed holiday I would definitely recommend...
