Portuguese Villa — Hotel in Anjuna

Portugese Villa is at the perfect location in Anjuna. The Bike rental place is just after 2 shops and there is an amazing Italian restaurant - Luna’s - right opposite to the villa. Luna’s is one of the best Italian food I’ve ever had.

There are also a a lot of other small and big eat out options within a km. (Angry Sardar - a few hundred metres - is a must try for out of the world North Indian food and cocktails)

A lot of shops - street shops and boutique stores on that road.

General store and pharmacy all within a few hundred feet.

The Villa gives you very homely vibe. Even though it’s on the road, it’s so quiet.

Coming back to your room, felt like returning home.

Rituraj the property manager is very helpful and understanding.

The property is totally worth the money they charge.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated.

However, hygiene can be much better. With regular pest control, rooms can be insect and pest free.

The location and rooms are good. One of the worst experiences with the staff.. booked for a different villa, but on arrival was informed that there were some water issues so we were given another option calling it an upgrade.. the so called upgrade was a total disaster.. spoke to the property owner and he was kind enough to sort out the issue as it wasn't brought to his notice.. special thanks for his immediate response.. however the second place given looked Clean and tidy from outside.. they have one of the worst sofa which the scrap person also would reject.. must have bought from him itself..many ants, mosquitoes were our guests too.. and the staff was very rude and unfriendly.. the owner must please look into these issues in his absence.. please provide good furniture and well behaved staff for us to have better experience.. the property is good but is not accommodative if these issues...

I recently spent five days here.

Pros: -Security guard day and night for peace of mind. -Prime location for easy access to attractions. -Basic kitchen facilities - microwave, fridge, induction. Very old stuff but works. Clean bathroom. -AC and Fan

Cons: -Frequent electricity trips when using multiple appliances. A LOT. You cannot have any 2 things on. If you geyser is on - forget microwave or induction or kettle or AC -Lack of privacy due to a shared door. Its not a complete villa. They have put a wall with door in between to make them 2. And it gets extremally noisy - you can hear everything from the other side of door . NOT PEACEFUL. We had very noisy neighbors. -Slow Wi-Fi connectivity. -Broken cupboards in the kitchen were inconvenient. -Aging property with ...
