I had an awesome stay at this homestay in Jorhat that left me with a ton of great memories. From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home, thanks to the host—an absolute gem who’s not only super friendly but also a wildlife buff with amazing stories about the Northeast.

The Place: The house is a beautifully restored old Assamese home, filled with character. I loved the living room vibe—with its charming cane furniture and shelves packed with travel books that sparked endless conversations. My room was cozy and practical, complete with a cool AC, plenty of wardrobe space, and a neat attached toilet with all the essentials.

Food: A big shoutout to the housekeeping team for serving up some seriously delicious meals. I got to try both a classic continental breakfast and a local version that totally won me over with its bold flavors.

Local Adventures: Jorhat is a strategic pit stop for travelers, and the host’s insider tips on must-see spots around the city were spot on. One of my most unforgettable moments was watching the sunset at Nimati Ghat—when I got stranded because the auto cab stopped running, the host quickly sorted out my ride back, letting me enjoy the moment without any worries.

We stayed at Globetrotters Homestay for two nights, and it was truly a memorable experience. The hospitality was warm and filled with personal touches, making our stay extra special. Even before we arrived in Jorhat, Parveez reached out with thoughtful arrangements for food and pickup, setting the tone for our stay. When we finally arrived, it felt like visiting family—Parveez and his team personally welcomed us and bid us farewell, adding to the heartfelt atmosphere. The homestay itself is beautifully maintained, blending native charm with impeccable hygiene. The meals, skillfully prepared by Rajiv and Pavan, were absolutely delicious. Parveez went above and beyond, suggesting places to visit and even personally escorting us to a local eatery so we could savor the authentic flavors of the region. Despite our limited time in Jorhat, Parveez ensured we had moments to relax and explore. Having just left Globetrotters Homestay in Jorhat I'm not sure how to explain how fantastic the host is without it sounding untrue! The property is well kept, clean and for once actually reflects the pictures on the internet. We were welcomed with tea and biscuits - given a snack for our early morning trip and then a full breakfast upon our return. As birders we were keen to see any wildlife in Assam but we're worried as there is little information available -- our host Paveer soon swept away any comcerns by talking to us to find out what we really liked, then booking cabs / advising on buses - and making sure we had lifts to start points - wildlife guides for gibbons and kaziranga were arranged and a written onward page of ideas for the next few days were parting gifts. He just enjoys helping his customers. No pushy sales. No expensive extras just good honest and extremely professional customer service. Well done Paveer. Keep this up...
