I had an absolutely horrible experience at Anmol atithi. Everything from the rooms, to the non-ethical behaviour and absurd rules are factors. The owner is always busy and the point of contact is the warden, Usha. Despite paying for one whole room (more about the room later) and reminding the owner of my arrival date and time, one day prior, I found out on arrival that there was someone staying in my room. We had to wait with our luggage in the absolutely clustered lobby for an hour and a half, waiting for the room. Even though I was going to stay alone, in my room, I had to pay twice the amount charged for food ₹7500 x 2 (which is ABSOLUTELY unappetising and inedible) just because I had the whole room to myself. Moreover, the room made me feel claustrophobic to the core, and the cabinet space wasn’t even enough for 1 person. I wonder how they expect 2 people to accommodate themselves in 1 room. The warden Usha is unhelpful, rude and disrespectful. I hated all interactions I’ve had with her as well as the owner. The night warden, Saroja is helpful and sweet. She helped me with my ironing and other needs. The watchman, cooking staff and other male staff all sleep and stay on the topmost floor and are allowed to walk into Girls’ rooms, but my own father wasn’t allowed in my room for helping me shift in. The washroom is extremely small. You’d hit the pot 20 times trying to take a shower. There is no concept of hot water. The flush doesn’t work. The ‘TV’ Is literally the size of a mobile phone - at this point they shouldn’t even advertise having rooms with TVS when they’ve installed them on the corner of the ceiling. Please give this place a visit before making any bookings or payments. I wonder how girls stay here. You’re not allowed to access the washing machine after 9pm. I used to return from work at 9 pm and found it very difficult to do my laundry. There is no cloth drying space. I was extremely anxious and worried about how I’d stay there. Even though I had made my payment for a year (₹130000), I shifted out and back to my hometown within a week. It was absolutely unbearable. I wasn’t offered any amount in refund, and when I politely asked for it, they blankly refused. The common use cabinet STINKS. The utensils are always dirty. The microwave is trash, it doesn’t work. The induction is always dirty. My whole view about bangalore changed and I was left very disheartened as I found myself unable to live in these conditions. This hostel legitimately gave me trauma. Please find better hostels - there are plenty around the neighbourhood. DO...
Read moreLived here for almost 2 years, and trust me, terribly toxic environment and 101 problems for the price! warden, owners, night staff, cleaning staff, everyone is very rude and domineering, like they are doing you a favour by letting you live there (not once was i treated like a paying customer!). Food is very sub-par for the price you will pay, and even then they limit the things they give u more of. Food timings are TOO strict, even if u have classes or work or anything, forget about asking for permission to eat late, they will give you 10 minutes past ending time if you are lucky, and they will never let u forget it! curfew is strict, which is understandable, but the number of times you will stand out in the cold and fight with the staff for being 2 minutes late is insane. And even if parents grant permission, they absolutely do NOT let you in after curfew, even if you literally have unavoidable work and get your parents to inform them. Non-veg is strictly not allowed and i had friends get in trouble for even ordering mushrooms. Even though they will never admit it, the place is very partial to Jain students, as the establishment is Jain. If you are not Jain, get ready to be asked to compromise for your Jain co-residents' preferences and be treated like a sub-human (if you dont believe me, just see how many 5-star reviews of this place come from Jain surname accounts). Been living in another PG nearby since a few months for nearly the same price and MUCH better living conditions, do yourself a favour and look at...
Read moreI have lived for 3 years and also admitted my youngers sister here, this place is 100 percent safe, best and clean and very well managed by the owners, few girls have put some negative reviews is because they were crossing there limits and were not following the system ,I remember one girl nearly came fully drunk at night and was shouting in the gates at night ,the owners very politely took her in and next morning called there parents and informed them ,as she was going out of her limits , trust me the management here is very good for girls who are serious about there future, some girls who are ragging other girls ,they come and immediately take action, which is highly appreciated, some negative reviews doesn't affect them as this pg is running full and having waiting list throughout the year whichI have experienced,my parents where very well treated when they had come to meet me,idad loves the way this hostel is run and always talks about this to my relatives and about aunty, those girls whoarenot comfortable have given wrong message and review, but my stay here was surely good and I give 5 star...
