Had a tough day at work and then decided to have dinner outside at imperial restaurant which made my day even worse. ITS A PATHETIC RESTAURANT. I don’t know where to start from, the staff, the food, the atmosphere everything is just dreadful
Cheap crowd, full howling and shouting. U cannot call this a family restaurant. Such a high cover restaurant and there is just 1 manager available, tht too he knows nothing and simply showing attitude. Rest of the staff is so busy by starring at the couples and girls tht they even forget to serve water n provide the menu to the new guests who are coming. the manager is zero, utter waste , he came to me and asked for the order, i asked him give the menu atleast upon which he is saying “menu nai hai? Pehle bolna tha “ 😂 most of the items in the menu were not available 🥲 i asked him wht biryani u serve, he said Hyderabadi style, long grain basmati rice etc etc. upon ordering i received a pathetic biryani by looks n flavor. Rice was mashed, no basmati, neither the style of cooking was Hyderabadi. ( i have attached the picture below) i asked for a salad and this is wht i got( picture attached below) The piece was so big as if someone used the mouth to cut it 😂😂😂 Couldn’t figure it out weather i had to eat or do i need to give to some cow or buffalo. price wise the dishes are costly compared to the food n service they give.
Never on earth i am going to this restaurant again.
Who so ever reads this, my advice to you is not to eat here, there are high chances that u might end up ruining your day. There are far better restaurants in the same lane, please visit them. They are not big brands but they do serve some excellent quality food at reasonable prices and off course decent service as...
Read moreImperial restaurant was known to me since I stepped into Bangalore since 1987. I was frequenting the one at Residency Road quite often and used to occupy the quite place in rhe first floor and was eating especially kerala parotta and kababs, the specimen indications of the imperial restaurant at that time. There were regular customers for these two items. Except that the Dal they used to give was a bit watery, I never stopped going there. These restaurants were even open at the time of the riots in 1992, when I ate dinner at 1.30 am in the morning on a curfew day after wandering alll over Bangalore, bat residency road Imperial, for a night bite as I was a bachelor.
Yesterday I ate chilly chicken, paratta, the grilled chicken and ghee rice. The ghee rice was the same here as always and has not changed the quality, taste or serving in porcelain plates. The servicing is at its best and I was looking over a family which ate stomach full and made a raje away in huge quantity to home also. Especially late night eating is very very convenient and with servers being polite and known oldies, asking why was I am not eating frequently, I had to tell them that I am around 18 kms away now and due to the friends presure, who cane from Uppinangadi and Hisanagar, I came here to have dinner.
Thanks to Bangalore to have such old restaurants with the old as well as new dishes, irrespective of changed youth generation and changed tastes and habbits.
These are like the Lalbagh and Cubbon Park of Bangalore as old memories and signs of identities of Kerala foods in...

They served Chicken in the vegetarian food and we got hair from another part of food
This place is totally unhygienic and to top it, response from staff is pathetic.
We ordered all vegetarian food, some Indian bread, veg noodles, dry gobi Manchurian etc.
They took a pretty long time to bring the food. There was no fork for Manchurian and no stick as well. We asked a waiter for forks, but he just ignored us.
After that we found a hair stuck between the two pieces of garlic nan. However, we did not make a fuss about it, but just asked them to change it. But the most horrible thing was yet to come. I found a piece of chicken in the veg curry. I am a vegetarian and I happen to bite it as well. The worst part, the staff did not seem to care much. One person, who claimed to be a manager mentioned gave a lame excuse that the kitchen is same for veg and non veg items.
Regarding the taste of the items that we tasted, some of them were okay, nothing very good though.
If you care of hygiene, give this...
