BluO Studios - Koramangala — Hotel in Bengaluru

We chose the Blu O Studios, Koramangala after reading quite a few stellar reviews, but were quite disappointed with our experience.

Pros - It is a fairly new property. It has a 24 hr supply of RO drinking water, which is great. There's a whole kitchen set up where you can prepare meals, with sufficient cutlery.

Cons- We had booked a King Studio based on the area mentioned on the website. However, we were downgraded to a Studio with Balcony (reason - AC not functional in King room) but charged for the King room. We got to know of the downgrade after we made an enquiry, because the room did not match the images on the website. We were also informed that all rooms are the same size. The fact that we were charged the same and the downgrade was never communicated to us was quite wrong on their part .

We also noticed that there were a lot of hair strands on the bedsheets. We informed the caretaker, who insisted they were clean sheets and did not know where the hair strands came from. We requested them to change all sheets and pillow cases, which they promptly did.

We noticed they had provided a single blanket for a double room, with the double bed. Tried to get some sleep without much success and woke up the next morning quite cranky and annoyed. We pointed out the issue of the blankets to the caretaker who stated that they always give single blankets, and only provide a second blanket when the customer/visitor requests for one. We've never had to request for a double blanket at any hotels so far, and I'm sure it's just the norm to provide a double blanket with a double bed.

This whole ordeal with the Blu O Studios left us quite irritated and dissatisfied. Will not be going...

BluO Studios in Koramangala is an amazing place to stay if you are visiting Bangalore.

Bluo Studios was recommended by my friend when I visited Bangalore in January this year on business and I have stayed there 3 times since. Comfortably located just off Hosur Road in 7th Block of Koramangala, you can access all the facilities within walking distance. Indira Nagar is half an hour from here and the Clubbing hub of Koramangala is just a walking distance.

Unlike other home stays; at Bluo Studios, they have given attention to details. From Pots and Pans to Pressure Cooker and Mixie, Microwave and Induction stove, you have everything in your room neatly arranged (makes you want to cook). I was surprised to find a sewing and dental kit in the washroom, which are usually an amenity in luxury hotels.

The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly (be it the manager or the assistants). Though parking is bit tight in the area (generally in Bangalore), the staff ensure that you get a parking space for your car.

If you stay in park facing rooms, the view is beautiful, especially in the mornings you wake up to birds chirping. On the 5th Floor, they have lawn space where you can spend quite time or catch up for a friendly chat. There is also a small public park, if you are someone who do morning walks.

If you are planning to stay longer, they have laundry facilities too. In short it is a home away from home or can be your second home if you wish.
