XOOX Brewmill - Do visit to unleash what XOOX has got to offer
Located near to Forum Mall Kormangala, XOOX is setup in the industrial estate where the management turned out a mill to this Brewery that we see today. With the seating capacity of around 350+ , XOOX has seating in ground floor, first floor & outdoor seating based on the interests of the guest. Its a place where i would love to come on a weekday after office to relax & chitchat with friends. I love the fact they have a huge live sports screening which can bee seen from all the indoor seating. considering IPL & World Cup coming now, im sure this gonna be jam packed. Their brewery cabin can give you an idea as how well this place is maintained.. cleanliness & classic decor all around .
They have 6 types of craft beer which can suit everyone in the gang to go with the personal preferences.. try them all so you can figure out that to order next time :)
Went with couple of friends hence tried my hands on couple of dishes from the menu.
Notably every dish we had has Chef's hand on it. Chef made the regular dishes to twist with various ingredients so that we feel the difference once we taste . Appreciate the fact that they come up so well with the twists
π Georgian Garlic Bread : Not a big fan of garlic bread but this version Flat bread with triple cheese is good one to try on.. served with chilli garlic dip is worth trying
π Wok Tossed Chilli Babycorn : Chef take on humble baby corn to make it extra special by tossing in chilli plum suace, liked the green peas base for the dish
π Masala papdi nachos : Nachos with a twist where we have dal makhni as base served up with tomato onion salsa ..
π Mexican Kachori : Not your normal kachori anymore.. Mexican interests added to the dish.. stuffed with beans & jalapenos . I wish the jalapenos can be more powering as the batter taste is dominant
π Tha-i fish cakes : You beauty :) Didnt enjoy at the first bite, But it tempts me to try again & again that to mark it as my favorite dish for the night.. Served along sabudana makes it appealing
π Chatpata Chicken Potli : Chicken masala tikka stuffed inside fried dumpling shaped pottis was lovely. i enjoyed it well with the dip served along
π Malaysian Prawn Satay with Sweet & Sour Sauce : Big daddy in the dishes we tried..Looks intimidating & tempting.. they may look small, but very flavorful . #Mustorder
π Yi Mein Noodles with stir fried vegetables : My favorite in the mains ... Wok tossed noodles are served with vegetable crunchy basket made again of noodles.. The crispy noodles are broken infront of us & mixed along with veggies.. good way to mix those crispy noodles so we get that crunchy feel while having the dish.
π Kulcha Platter : Thanks to the team for whoever thought to keep this in the menu.. Good for gangs, everyone gets their tummy filled with it.. esp love the egg kulcha & malai chicken tikka kulcha in the platter.. Order this to make sure ur buddies are not going home hungry.
Desserts need a special mention coz desserts come along with theatre & drama while served on the table...For those instagram lovers, they know what you want :D
π Red Velvet Parfait : never thought of having beetroot as part of the dessert, but these guys made it reality. comes in a special box of love.. thats a must try.. Loved it pretty much
π Buttermilk panacotta : Rosemary based buttermilk panacotta along with raspberry & rose decoration around it... i bet you that that looks pretty interesting
Not a alcoholic person hence ive just tried Apple cider beer as a beginner..reminds me of similar to Appy Fizz & good one to try among what they offer.
π Kulhad Ice Tea : Very refreshing ice tea where it is served in a kulhad, went with my favorite peach flavor & bang on.. loved it :)
π Fantastic 4 : Lychee based mocktail with beetroot in it.. never a fan of beetroot, but definitely worth try .
This will be my go to place for evenings where i want to just sit & relax spending time with my buddies, Do visit so you will have the same...
Β Β Β Read moreAnother Run In The Mill Brewery In Bangalore XOOX Brewmill quiet literally, apparently was a Mill before it transformed itself into this beautiful double height space, bang in the middle of bustling Koramangala.
As you enter, the central atrium, overlooked by the 1st level seating, and the huge media screen just engulfs you into a wide mouthed awe.
There are multitude of options for seating, with equally distributed indoor and outdoor options across the 3 level seating.
We foodie bunch ended up on a weekday dinner, seated quiet comfortable and started asking for recommendations to savor, devour and leave quickly back home.
Staff were friendly, in fact overly friendly, they ended up helping us with taking pictures and holding props. Their service was swift and quick, and courteous.
For drinks we started off with Kerry Mania, a delightful refreshing Aam Panna Soda infused with Vodka. For me the Codd-neck bottle brought back loads of nostalgia, usually referred as the Banta Soda or the Goli Soda in Tamil.
Next the signature XOOX G & T, a humble Gin & Tonic infused with a red wine reduction sprinkled with orange bitters, am absolutely delightful take on the classic. For me, this was the star of the evening, the strong red wine reduction was absolutely perfect.
The LOL was a funny take on mocktails at XOOX, the punchy flavours were perfect.
With the Starters flowing, we started off with the vegetarian options. Masala Papdi - A simple layered crispy paapdi with Dal Makhani & a melted cheese top was a delicious take on street style paapdi chaat which was marinated overnight in a Makhani sauce. Itβs surprising how the flavours came through so subtly & still keeping the paapdi crisp.
The Beetroot Tikki @xooxblr had a balanced beetroot infused tikki with a light crispy bhujia coating, subtle flavours but packed a punch with or without the accompanied sauce.
We had Wasabi Prawns with delicious Prawn Crackers as a part of the non-vegetarian selection. A mildly wasabi infused crispy prawns were wonderfully cooked with a beautiful yet light crisp outer. What I loved even more were the prawn crackers served alongside, complimented the prawns beautifully.
For mains we shared a Yi Mein Noodles & a Chicken Calzone Shawarma.
A beautifully thrice cooked noodles tossed in soy sauce, with an edible basket on top with grilled veggies was absolutely yumm. The strong Chinese flavours were super delicious & I actually preferred it over the Chicken Main.
The Chicken main was the goodness of wonderful chicken shawarma baked in a calzone, great fusion executed well, tasted delicious, top quality dish, presented beautifully.
Though the Chicken Shawarma Calzone was a tough competition to the noodles, but my affinity towards south east Asian cuisine made me pick the noodles.
A small accompaniment of Cheese Pide was a great accompaniment, though it is touted as a main. This Turkish Take On Pizza is something that I L.O.V.E.D. The accompanied garlic heavy yogurt sauce & the balanced chilli oil was way too perfect, a must try.
Too full with the appetisers & mains, we decided to share the delicious dessert fusions on offer.
Malpua Mille Feuille was a Bold Take On Marrying The Classic Indian Malpua To A French Classic Mille Feuille, it was fusion made well, though I would have preferred my malpuas a little softer.
Buttermilk Pannacotta, Another Indian Twist To The Classic Italian Pannacotta was delicious with the right wobble & the mild buttermilk flavour. Though there was a rosemary infusion, it was too mild that I could not taste it much.
Overall a great place to great drinks & dinner, the brewery is still not functional, hope they kickstart that soon. The space is beautiful, would be a wonderful way to spend with friends & family or even catching up a game in the...

Food (5/5): So I tried their Sunday brunch and I can easily say that they have perfected the combination of variety and taste. Following was the buffet spread served on Sunday with my favorites:
Beer menu : I ordered the beer samplers and tasted the following beers:
Apple Cider: This was a clear winner for me. Being a huge Hefeweizen fan, I was pleasantly surprised and glad that I found a place serving good apple cider which had a decent punch of the fruit which wasn't overwhelming as well.
Hefeweizen: Definitely worth trying if you are into freshly brewed German wheat beer.
Smoked Amber: This is the beer which made me decide to check their brewing process. A very unique smokey flavor that adds to the whole pallet with you munching their amazing starters.
Belgian Wit
Citrus Ipa Japanese Dry Blonde Ale
Red Velvet Ale
Scottish Ale
Starters : The veg starters for a change were the winners for me which doesn't mean that the non-veg starters were any less. Each starter was prepared to perfection and none of them were left to get cold. They were reheating and reloading the contents on a regular basis which I have seen getting missed at best of buffet restaurants. Following were the starters:
Rajma Galouti: A vegetarian take on the popular cooking style from Lucknow. No stone was left unturned in giving it the softest of textures, something that could just melt in the mouth on consumption.
Pineapple chaat : The next best was the great pineapple chaat, as I like to call it. I despise the fruit but loved the chef's rendition of the same. A perfect amalgamation of the dish being tangy as well as spicy. Definitely worth trying, even if you are going for a-la-carte.
Thai herbed tofu
Barbecue veg skewer
Tawa masala chaap cheesy falaffel
kung pao chicken
Beer battered fried fish
Siracha glazed pork belly
Lahsuni chicken tikka
Beef pepper fry
Achaari prawn skewers
Salad
Aloo Anardana ki chaat
Main Course Chilli chicken penne : A fusion take on the most popular dishes from the Chinese and the Italian food family, this dish completely shook me and made me hog like there was no tomorrow. It tastes like chilly chicken and has the texture of penne pasta. It might sound crazy but certainly has the potential of becoming the crowd favorite.
Chicken Donne biryani
Vegetable biryani
Penne pomodorro
Desserts
Seasonal cut fruits with flavored icecream
Jalebi with Rabdi
New York Cheese Cake
Rasmalai
Tiramisu
Ambiance (5/5): There is no doubt that the first words that one will utter after entering their premises will be 'Wow'. It was so aesthetically pleasing that one could spend an entire day there. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with the indoor one having a couple of floors (ground and first). The lounge music just added to the whole Bangalore breezy vibe and made the experience even better.
Service (5/5): No complaints here as everything went as expected. The manager was very courteous. We had the chef visiting us to take the feedback as well which shows that they are always wanting to improve.
Value for money (5/5): Great place for a group of friends to chill on a Sunday with great beer and lip-smacking food. Cost for 1 just crosses 1k if you want to opt the 'without unlimited beer' option which doesn't make a lot of sense, so spend a bit more and enjoy the holistic experience that this...
