Reviewing the overall stay (4N/5D) & food here while on a business trip recently.
The place is best suited for an executive/business traveller, close to tech parks (Bagmane Constellation Park and ITPL road) offering a relatively easy commute. The property is well maintained; has dedicated lobby/ sitting areas, bar/lounge within the restaurant (Kava) alongside the reception area. The rooms are spacious, well-kept & designed with adequate amenities to suit the needs of a business traveler. Housekeeping was timely & done well.
I used to have my meals (breakfast from buffet, snacks and dinner a-la-carte menu) from their restaurant- Kava. They offer in room dining as well. The food options in a-la-carte menu are priced very reasonably for a 4-star place. There are 3-4 main dish/curry/ sides choices (each in veg & non-veg)- this is fair for a short trip else it may get repetitive due to limited dish choices; the hotel management may consider expanding/ diversifying the menu to suit guest interests based on average stay duration data.
The breakfast spread in the buffet is really great with lots of options across Indian/ Continental cuisine. The menu was changed each day (except staples like dosa, idli, vada, uttapam which were also flavoured differently each day). In the 5 mornings, I saw ample Indian options like: Parathas, Dosa (plain, masala, onion), Idli, Vada, Uttapam, Puri/ Bhhature, Poha, Dalia, Vermicelli Upma, curries for puri & parathas like-Chana/ Chhole/ Aloo sabji, etc; continental optionals like- sausages, boiled eggs; toast/ bread, pancakes, scrambled eggs, omlettes, cakes, waffles, etc could be ordered from a live counter. Cornflakes, Chocos, other cereal were on offer too. Seasonal cut fruits (3 variants) and fresh juice + boiled American corn/ sprouts/ greens/ carrots/ cucumbers and salad dressings/ other condiments like pickle were available too. Tea/ Coffee/ Juice could be taken.
Kudos to the team who make sure the buffet menu offers choices & a change of taste for visitors. Loved the personalised attention of the staff on ground too for help with orders, beverages, requests.
Another USP of the place is the complimentary transport service to/from office (pickup and drop) for nearby workplaces. This is potentially restricted to some companies within a limited radius but was a very helpful and convenient service! I faced a delay/ hiccup on day-1 due to limited cabs and high traffic (uncontrollable from the hotel's pov). But in general, a heads-up at the reception/ request to the staff with some buffer time in hand, could be done by guests to mitigate the traffic motivated uncertainty. On avg. waiting or lead time is 15-30mins (contingent upon traffic conditions as well).
Appreciate the professionalism & accommodating nature of the employees. Thanks to the team for a...
Read moreWe stayed here for 2 weeks while hunting for a house and the stay was very comfortable. It appears that this specific hotel is the primary stay option for many companies which are nearby. Make no mistake - this is a business hotel. If you're looking for leisure, privacy, relaxation, this is not the most ideal choice. That said, if you want a functional hotel in this area where you can stay temporarily, work and get things done - look no further. This is a fantastic option!
Very good hospitality, professional and friendly hosts - special thanks to Kinley, Riya, Santosh, Ebenezer and others for making our stay pleasant. We also got a cute bird keychain souvenir during checkout!
Check-in/check out Check-in was super fast. They just needed an ID, some signatures and it was all done quickly. Luggages were transported to the room. Checkout was also equally quick. Bills were already prepared, we examined, paid and left.
Rooms: The rooms were clean (they were cleaned everyday) and had decent amenities inside like plug points, table to work, TV, tea/coffee station, mini-fridge, ironing box/table, hair dryer and a locker. All the essentials, especially if you're on a work trip. The bathrooms aren't the most spacious. The shower space is quite cramped and for healthier individuals, taking a shower will be a chore. There is however a clothesline provided.
Food: There is a buffet for breakfast and dinner. For lunch it is a la carte. The one thing that stood out VERY WELL was their food. My god. My wife and I easily gained a couple of kilos by eating. My willpower was too weak to stop eating. The food was DELICIOUS. Every single day. It is really commendable. Kudos to the chef team, Chef Koushik, Sunil, Ramesh and Manikandan. The only gripe I had was with chicken pieces having bones (but in a high traffic business hotel like this, boneless pieces would just not be viable for the kitchen so I give them a pass).
Miscellaneous: There is underground parking available. This is great for folks coming by cars/bike. The hotel also has their chauffeur services. They also have a laundry service but this is shared with Sheraton Grand. This may cause some problems as it did for us, couple of our clothes ended up in Lost/Found. However, we were able to get them back quickly, without damages and...
Read moreFirstly, the only employee Rhea at the restaurant always had that hospitality to welcome guests. The rest of the front desk staffs truly need of lot of service training from a hospitality point of view. Lack of experienced staffs may be the drawback. A day before I could check out I approached the front desk gentlemen to request for a check out at 2noon. The way he responded wasn't too polite and sounded to me like he said he won't allow me to stay after 2pm.. I think his intention was not to be rude but the staffs need to learn English verbiage and articulate better to the guests so communication is made clear. All the front desk staffs very busy looking down at the monitor whenever I cross the desk and they had forgotten to greet the guests the traditional way proactively. All these comes with sheer experience and a leader who should be an example like a general manager or front desk manager.
Secondly, the location of this hotel is prime but unfortunate the entire roads were under construction and the area needs ro be supervised from sewage treatment.
Thirdly, lack of staffs in duty. Any thing you request via phone takes a min 30 to 45 mins to arrive to your room. In this case it was a request for a spoon. Finally someone from sales and marketing who was just behind my room was availble to help.
Housekeeping or if you request your room to be done please note you have to call front desk min of twice a day as a reminder. They have a rule that room clean up is only after 10am..strange to note this type of service when hotels operate 24/7..? One Housekeeping employee but forgot his name was quite prompt at his work with a smile. The way to describe him had a bald look (sorry I really forget his name)
Overall quite ok with stay however, leadership matters to lead freshers and you need to retain right talent to ensure your brand remains. Keep your employees happy...
