Located in the midst of Software companies around, Kava by Fairfield Marriott is a pretty nice place to drop by for Sunday brunch... Not so heavily priced with too many options. They got decent prices for the brunch with a good deal of food options to choose from
Spread across next to the entrance, with seating around 50+ Kava space is spread with minimalistic yet nice decor...Started my meal with the welcome drink that is made by mixing Guava juice + Vanilla ice cream. Thanks to the staff who is present at the chaat counter, made a nice plate for us along with a bombay sandwich...
Their chicken tikka spicy version is to die for...Filled my plate multiple times... One of the best I had in recent times. chicken is juicy & full of flavors... Loved it to the core... Paneer Tikka is nice with cashew on top..not to miss their Rava fish fry... To Mains, Paneer makhana curry is very good during my brunch along with kadhi pakora... Biryanis are well done esp the chicken version...
Loved the fact they have desserts section ranging from Indian sweets to homemade pastry cakes.. appreciate the way the cut fruits are...
Read moreThe best part of the Kava experience was when I exited the dining space! For birthday celebration I had chosen Kava for dinner, and boy was it the worst decision I made! We had booked the table in advance for 9PM slot and reached by 9:15PM, but from the expression of staff, they weren't expecting anymore guests. So weird, when I had confirmed the booking over call twice in the evening. The dining space was scorching hot with ACs not in service. Foods in the buffet section was either cold or out of stock and still the staff insisted us to select buffet - perhaps they had found their guinea pigs to finish the leftovers. Thankfully we decided to go with Ala carte option. However, the food served to us was cold and bland! With sweat dripping off of our foreheads and chins, we somehow finished the mediocre at best food. The only food item I found refreshing was the cold cucumber slices in the salad. If this is the Marriot experience, then good riddance - I am gonna stick with Sheraton...
Read moreBeen there several times, but had a very poor experience during recent visit on 30 Nov 2023. The restaurant cashier or captain was dishonesty trying to overcharge me. I had reserved through Zomato where clear discount was mentioned on my app, and ready to be applied on presentation of the bill. But restaurant was telling me it is not valid because food is already discounted. I had never faced a similar issue in any other hotel based or free standing restaurant. When he finally agreed, after wasting my time, he played another trick on me, he changed the price itself. He started saying listed price is wrong on Zomato. I told it is not possible and if it is, then it's a problem to be resolved between Zomato and restaurant and not with customer. He again wasted my time second time around, and finally gave in. All this has left a very bitter taste in my mouth and I will think twice before going...
