I'm giving this 1 star coz of Nisha at front desk. As mentioned in many other reviews, Front desk staff is horrible.
Over the years, I and my family members have been a regular guest at Goldfinch , race course road , Bengaluru.
Unfortunately, my family members recent interactions with the front desk staff, particularly with Nisha, have left me deeply disappointed, disrespected and concerned.
Nisha, in particular, has exhibited a consistently moody and rude behaviour at the front desk. Her behavior lacks the expected professionalism , hospitality and courtesy that should be an important part of the hospitality industry. Even Darshan at front desk is a beginner but having no courtesy or helpful nature .
No politeness. They treat you like you are at their mercy . This has extremely tarnished the overall experience during my family member's stay at the hotel.
Moreover, I have observed instances where small charges have been overestimated, indicating a lack of transparency and fairness in the billing process.
What adds to the distress is the complete absence of an apology or any attempt to rectify these issues upon raising a concern.
The essence of hospitality lies in providing a welcoming and approachable atmosphere to guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their stay.
The behavior and actions I have experienced stand in complete contrast to this fundamental principle of hospitality.
Myself and family members have stayed 10-12 times here, never again!
You lost regular guests because of your horrible staff mentioned above.
And I wish there was a zero star for such hostile behaviour.
PS: room are good and spacious, but elements like Nisha are total...
Read moreI have never felt like a 4 star hotel! service and experience is something that people will remember forever.
I don't want to pick the names but the client facing staff at the front desk could be more polite and welcoming. If it happened once I completely understand but I have seen it repeatedly.
One such case is regarding the WiFi, something I have never experienced before even in a 2 star is their behaviour towards customers. Firstly, I was not given wifi credentials along with the key card. When I asked for it, it expired after a few hours. Secondly, I had to do follow-up calls believe me 4 to 5 times!! and every time they don't even have time to listen to what I am saying and just start reading a new userid /password and disconnected the call and all of them say they got expired and I had to call them again. After all those calls, they got irritated and said the internet itself is down, but it's not true one another device is still working. Instead of solving my issue they simply brushed it under the carpet and blamed it on the internet. At least, be polite and listen to what the problem is, it's not like a customer who pays thousands of rupees per night begs for a Wi-Fi connection of 200 rupees, just common sense!
On the bright side the only good thing I felt is the staff in the Sanadige restaurant are more polite and recieving.
Anyway, there can be issues anywhere due to unexpected circumstances, but just being polite and respectful about it goes a long way and this is the least expected in any stay, needless to even talk about...

I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights each at Goldfinch hotel, bangalore. At the time of booking I requested that I get allocated only the "double bed" rooms and NOT the "twin beds".
The booking was made approx 15 days before the stay and the same day I got confirmation from the hotel that the request has been sanctioned and confirmed.
I reach the hotel at 11.45 pm with my parents- senior citizens and an asleep little boy at the age of 5. I am told there are only twin beds available.
When I further questioned, these are the replies I have been given by Utkarsh who poses in as the front staff: A. In the category of rooms that you have booked, we only have twin beds. B. The availability of "double beds" is only based on availability. C. This room has only 3-4 double bed rooms. Most are all in the twin bed category. D. The reason for the problem is that you booked through a third-party app. Most of our Customers book directly through us. E. A double bed that you requested for means a twin-bed. If you wanted beds together, you should have asked for a "kings" or "queens" bed.
Anyways, with no resort, we asked to Check in; only to see another customer storming down to the reception with exactly the same problem.
Once in our rooms, the luggage would not be delivered. We walked back down to the reception and carried the luggage ourselves.
The whole booking and stay experience with Goldfinch, bangalore seems like a super bad decision. It's a mistake and I'd not do the same again.
The same shall be informed to our extended family...
