Located at the heart of West Bangalore, The London Curry House @lond serves classic Indian and Continental cuisine with a twist. Their ambience has artworks and paintings depicting everyday life and some iconic structures of London like Big Ben and London Eye. They also have random things like telephone booth to give you a feel of London streets. Their menu is very interesting. I loved their starters and desserts. There's was something unique with all of them. On the contrary, their Mocktails are average. 1. Three Men at the Big Den This drink had peanut butter, chocolate syrup and heart shaped brownie tucked at the corner of glass and vanilla Icecream. Since I like peanut butter a lot, I liked this one also. But I am generally not a chocolate person neither a Mocktails kind of person, so I don't vouch for them 2. Samosa Soup Innovative for sure but the soup is spicy so I wasn't able to finish the whole bowl. You would like it a lot if you like spicy food. I personally don't like spicy and oily food, so I will simply skip this soup. 3. Potli Chaat with Spicy Tomato Salsa It is served on a "thela". Potli is crisp and filling is good. 4. Baby Corn Cigars This one is fried so well that you wouldn't realise that you are eating a babycorn. 5. Angrezi Potato Concept is good and so is the taste 😉 6. Ada Teda Nachos A decent option for starters 👍 7. Indianized Version Veg Manchurian Ball Served in a container which looks like an Iron Box, this is one of the best Veg Manchurian that I ever had. The Manchurian balls are soft and full of vegetables. Definitely order this 8. Cheese Corn Ball Soft and cheesy 9. Kaun Corn Served in chai glasses, this is also a good option in starters. 10. Panipuri Platter Panipuri balls has diced potatoes which a bit disappointing but you get a lot of accompaniments with it like meetha pani and boondi etc. Presentation is very good 👍 11. Sev Puri Pizza Isstyle The cheese part tastes a little weird on top of a papdi chaat but I appreciate their innovation. 12. Bahubali XXL Kachori Chaat A huge Kachori Chaat with adequate amount of fillings inside. You should definitely order this 👍 13. Balck Currant Rabdi This is a very innovative dessert. Even the white pot in which the rabdi is served is made up of white chocolate which shows their dedication and skills. 14. Flower Pot This is an amazing dessert. It looks like a flower pot from outside where the pot is made up of chocolate and it is sprinkled with chocolate powder to make it look like soil. The surprise here is that this pot is filled with Rabdi and it tastes amazing. 15. French Fries Crisp and on the point Summary : London Curry House is an amazing eatery at Race Course Road. Do check it out 😊

SUPER EXOTIC & LIP SMACKING MASTER CHEF LEVEL VEGETARIAN FOOD I am sure you will not know but this restaurant is owned by the same group that owns the "SHIVA SAGAR" chain. They have married their extensive experience in making tast Indian snacks and dishes to the artsy Master chef like presentation and innovative cooking techniques. The result is SUER AWESOME. This is paradise for anyone who's looking for exotic vegetarian food. Also, you can take you family elders too cause its a VEGETARIAN ONLY place. I went here for lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. Apparently, I never reached the main course. It was starters (4 of them) and then dessert (3 of them). We were 5 people 4 adults and 1 infant. The staff was very nice and kind enough to give my baby a bunch of carrot sticks to keep him busy. They also gave us a couple of other things (curd, vanilla ice cream) too to keep him busy. Well coming to the review DRINKS -we ordered 4 drinks (all non alcoholic) 1 NEEL BADREE - A LITCHI based beverage. THIS WAS THE BEST. 2. VIDESHI SHOITER - CRANBERRY based beverage. Will not recommend for people who don't like cranberry 3 MANGO SMOOTHEE - mango smoother dressed with a pieces of freshly cut mangoes. 4 WATERMELON THANDAI - nothing out of the world. STARTERS 1 I LIKE PANEER CHILLY DRY - this was paneer chilly served with fried noodles soaked in sauce (likeerican choupsey). This was absolutely mind-blowing. 2 DESI RANGILA JHOOLA CHAAT - assorted Chaat - samosa, kachosi, peanut bhel etc served on a MERRY-GO-ROUND. 3 SEV PURI PIZZA ISSTYLE -very innovative day. Do give it a try. 4 KOTHAMBIR VADi WITH CHUTNEY - This s served in a mini "THELA - HAND CART" . MAIN COURSE The 4 starters was jat too much for the 4 of us. We had to skip MAIN COURSE cause we had space left only for dessert now. DESSERTS 1 CHOCOLATE WIND - You have to try this. This is MASTER CHEF LEVEL DISH. So they serve you Vanilla ice cream (frozen in Nitrogen) inside a CHOXOLATE HEMISPHERR (made by coating chocolate on a balloon and flash frozen using nitrogen). Then hot chocolate sauce is poured on it after this ia placed on your table. Please see the attached video 2 FLOWER POT - RAS MALAI inside. Chocolate pot. There's trick to get to the ras MALAI. Look at the attached video for the secret. 3 OREO BROWNIE AVALANCHE - this is my all weather favorite "SIZZLING BROWNIE". AMAZING PLACE, LIP SMACKING FOOD, NICE INTERIORS (I found a very fancy fan so much so that I had to make a video clip out of it). GIE IT A TRY. YOU WILL THANK ME.

I for one was super excited to try the food here given all the hype. This place is usually full even on the weekdays. I had to wait 20 mins to get a table for 11 on a thursday for dinner. We patiently waited and were then seated in a table for 8. So to begin with, the space was super congested and we didn't have enough space to move a hand without disturbing the other. Ambience: They are located at the basement of the building opposite Goldfinch. I think the interiors are done well. They look rustic yet classy. Good if its dinner for 2. Tables are perfect for that case. I would however say its a little stuffy. Food & Drinks: So they serve Fusion Cuisine, which is basically a twist to something as simple as Pani Puri. Since I have also seen so much hype about their Pani Puri, i happened to order that. This was my first disappointment. Nothing different from what i would get from any other store. Very basic and yet very expensive. These are the things i tried here: -> Sev Puri Pizza Isstyle - I would have loved it had it had any flavour of the pizza. They served Sev Puri on bigger Puri's with a heap of hard cheese. Not something I'd have. -> Cheese Corn Ball and Potato Wedges - Potato wedges were basic, the cheese corn balls were actually decent. Generous amount of cheese, and good flavour. -> Crispy Honey Chilli Potato - Overfried to say the least. The potato had lost all moisture, and the flavour on the coating was average at best. -> Stuffed Kulcha and Garlic Naan - Soft bread, well flavoured and the stuffing was great too. -> Rajwada style Veg Kadai Sabzi - I found the seasoning in this non existent. It felt like finely ground paste of a couple of greens and boiled vegetables tossed into it. The gravy had the consistency of a paste which i did not like. -> Allahabadi Tahiri - The biryani was somehow my favourite dish of the evening. I liked the rice, it was cooked and flavoured well. The vegetables had some flavour and went excellently with the raita. Ended the meal with a Mango cheesecake since everything else i asked for wasn't available or had gone bad from the show of desserts they had out front. Service: I would say service is the one thing here i had no complaints about. The staff looked apologetic and were accomodating. They helped and suggested around the menu and helped with some variations when requested. I was really looking forward to the place and don't think the wait was worth it. :/

These are the things i tried here:

  • Cheese Corn Ball and Potato Wedges - Potato wedges were basic, the cheese corn balls were actually decent. Generous amount of cheese, and good flavour.
  • Crispy Honey Chilli Potato - Overfried to say the least. The potato had lost all moisture, and the flavour on the coating was average at best.
  • Stuffed Kulcha and Garlic Naan - Soft bread, well flavoured and the stuffing was great too.
  • Rajwada style Veg Kadai Sabzi - I found the seasoning in this non existent. It felt like finely ground paste of a couple of greens and boiled vegetables tossed into it. The gravy had the consistency of a paste which i did not like.
  • Allahabadi Tahiri - The biryani was somehow my favourite dish of the evening.

I was really looking forward to the place and don't think the wait was...
