Olive Zip Domlur by Embassy Group — Hotel in Bengaluru

The hotel is new and very clean and top notch rooms with new Daikin ACs and new ACER TVs and is spacious to an extent. When it came to late checkout, the person at the front desk was terrible. I have stayed in many Olives but this experience was different. He started calling me from 10.30 where my checkout time was 11 am. I told him I will avail late checkout but he was charging me 1200 rs for that!! Really? He told till 4 pm he can extent and will charge 800. I agreed without any option. He directly came to room for payment with EDC machine and he was like We need the payment now only. I have never seen such an impatient hotelier. Then again he started calling from 4 pm continuously. Very irritating guy. Usually half day charges are levied for 6 hours or more, but this guy is literally sick and too much impatient. Maybe he was doing his job, but there is a difference between doing business and providing hospitality. I hope I will choose my regular Olive next time rather than this property no matter how good the property...

Management and service people were polite and kind. It is located at a very comfortable part of the city, easily accessible. It is maintained well and clean. But the negatives are as follows: The rooms are overpriced. With no basic amenities provided unless asked for. There isn't even a phone to call the reception in the room. Paid ₹4,000/- for two days (incl taxes), for this price I was given a 120sqft room which was claustrophobic. Now that Olive has become a sought after brand they have increased the prices threefold which is not at all acceptable. The restroom is crammed. NO VALUE FOR MONEY. And they are cutting corners in a minor way which won't make much of a difference for them, but for the customer it is a make or break deal. Here is a break for me. Going to start looking for other cheaper but efficient options...

If I had the option to choose no star, I would have done that. Don't go and get excited seeing their photos cz these guys have included their common lobby ( accessed by multiple PPL) . The rooms were not even clean, floors were sticky . Coming to bathrooms, it was the smallest n smallest washrooms ever used. It was also not cleaned, some used brush etc were still there and even after telling them multiple times , they were not able to find the brush lol. Never even going to forget this stay😅, quite a shocker for us . We will remember you every time and then. Thanks...
