Gufha Restaurant in Kumarapark, Bengaluru, is a unique dining experience that transports you into a captivating cave-themed setting. Located on the 4th floor of The President Hotel, the ambiance is the standout feature—dim lighting, stalactite-like decor, and staff dressed in themed attire create a magical, immersive atmosphere that feels like dining in a real cave. It’s a great spot for families, couples, or anyone looking for something different, and kids especially will love the adventurous vibe. The menu is diverse, offering North Indian, Chinese, Continental, Afghani, and Peshawari cuisines, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. I tried the Tomato Dhaniya Shorba, which was perfectly spiced and served piping hot, and the veg tandoori platter, which was fresh, flavorful, and well-portioned. The signature biryani and tandoori dishes come highly recommended, and the food is generally well-prepared with authentic spices. The bar is well-stocked, offering local beverages that pair nicely with the meal. Service is a mixed bag. The staff is friendly and attentive—names like Vijayakanth and Soumitra popped up in reviews for their professionalism—but some guests have noted occasional delays or issues with order follow-ups. My experience was smooth, with prompt service and helpful recommendations. The pricing is reasonable, with a meal for two averaging around ₹1200, though some items, like bottled water, can feel overpriced. The only downside was a minor hiccup with seating; despite the restaurant being nearly empty, securing a preferred table took some negotiation. Overall, Gufha delivers a memorable dining experience with great food and a one-of-a-kind ambiance. I’d recommend reserving a table, especially during peak hours, and visiting in the evening to fully appreciate the cave-like setting. A must-visit for a unique culinary adventure...

Was here for lunch on a Sunday in August 2025. Embarrassingly, I hadn’t been to the original Gufah (Jayanagar) owing to the distance. So, I jumped at the opportunity when I discovered that this branch has been around for quite a while.

Parking on the street is not easy given the locality, but thankfully they have valet drivers who take care of it for you.

The ambience is very true to the “jungle” theme and offers a variety of seating options—including a very goofy waterhole seating (lose your footwear, of course).

We reached around 1 pm, just before rush hour. The initial service was quick, and the maître d’ Rupa even gives you a 15-minute prep-time note, which came in handy while we were waiting between courses. Just as we were about to enquire about the main course, it arrived—so overall, service was quite good.

The menu is diverse, spanning different cuisines, with a fair number of vegetarian options too. We enjoyed the broccoli soup and the crispy corn while waiting for the absolutely value-for-money (and stunning) veg starter platter. It had six varieties of starters, each with generous portions. All of them were good.

For the main course, we tried the Lasooni Sabzi and Dal Makhani with regular breads and the Afghani roti, which we enjoyed. Dessert was the tender coconut rasmalai, which, in my opinion, was sweeter than necessary and didn’t blow my mind.

Overall, it was good food and good service. The spice levels may be a bit much for some, and since we ate North Indian/frontier cuisine, there was a generous amount of garlic. Rupa and Seilveston waited on our table—both took good care of us. By the time we finished around 2:40, the place was almost full.

They honour Swiggy Dineout and Zomato Gold/Eazydiner, and levy a 5% service charge.

All in all, a good experience—and hopefully i will return someday to try their other...

This is a new branch of gufha based on mysore . Starting from the entrance we can see there is a beautiful fountain which will welcome with the sweet cold vibe of waterfall and sitting based on tiger belt sofa like structure. WAITING TIME:- Yes they do-not accept the bookings for table reservation according to the call we came to know it is a first come first serve based and yes it will be waiting if you arrive on a pickup time. AMBIENCE:- A beautifully embarked with stone clipped mountains and slow mid air roar of tiger along with chirping of birds. A dark den with faces dripped in waterfall and waiters dressed in jailer . Aah a perfect vibe to kick off the place . SITTING:- Basically there are two types of sittings one normal and another with waterfall and water-based where we can rest our leg on water ( pedals are kept for comfort). FOOD:- The quality and quantity is no doubt a perfect delicious dished to be cherished on price its a bit higher side but when quantity is matched it's sufficient for two persons . ORDERED ITEMS:- Panner Tikka,Chilli Panner,Veg Fried Rice, Chicken Mowglai,Naan And lastly we drenched our throat with a beautiful made litchi lover(must try). SERVICE:-In terms of service i would say its quite sluggish ,so it's recommended to sit for around 20 mins approx for killing the hunger rat inside the stomach. Overall its a good place to have a fine dine with family and couples.

GUFHA is a cave-themed restaurant that serves amazing Indian, Chinese, and Continental dishes. They offer two unique seating options: you can either sit with your legs in water, resting them on pedals for comfort while enjoying your meal, or opt for regular seating if you prefer to stay dry, especially in colder weather. The waitstaff are dressed as forest officers or guards, adding a charming touch to the atmosphere. Instead of loud music and distractions, the restaurant creates a peaceful environment with subtle bird and animal sounds playing in the background, perfect for enjoying quality time with friends and family. As for the food, there’s absolutely nothing to complain about. From soups to desserts, everything is top-notch! The creamy Broccoli Cheese Soup, Jawari Moti (button mushrooms stuffed with paneer and cheese), and the Afghani Kurmi Roti and Missi Roti were exceptional. The Vegetable Patiala and the Biryanis were equally impressive. For dessert, the Gufha special, served in fresh orange cups, and the Tender Coconut Rasmalai (highly recommended) were truly unique and absolutely delicious. GUFHA is not just a restaurant with great food; it’s an experience. Whether you’re celebrating, enjoying a romantic dinner, or having a peaceful evening with family, GUFHA should definitely be on your list of places to visit.
