SK Residency — Hotel in Central Zone

Stayed at SK Residency, Coimbatore for a day during my visit.

The hotel offers car parking, which was the main reason I chose this property. Although the parking space is limited, I managed to find a good spot. Overall, the hotel appears decent, clean, and well-maintained.

Positives: • The bedsheets and bed were clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. • The room, though not very spacious, is adequate for two people. • Basic amenities like Wi-Fi, AC, and hot water were functional. • The room was quiet, allowing for a good night’s sleep.

Negatives: • I spotted two cockroaches in the room, indicating hygiene could be improved. • There’s no in-house restaurant, so you’ll need to step out to order food. • Even basic provisions like a water bottle weren’t provided. Guests are expected to fetch RO water from the ground floor. At least one complimentary water bottle should be included. • No dental kit, and the toiletries provided were very basic (just a small shampoo sachet and one soap). No shower gel or kettle was available. • The telephone in the room wasn’t working, though this wasn’t a major issue. • The closet’s position was uncomfortable due to poor plumbing work.

Pricing Concern: The primary reason for my 2-star rating is the price. At ₹1,800 per night, the room feels overpriced. Based on the amenities and overall experience, it’s more on par with budget stays like OYO, where ₹1,000–₹1,100 would have been a reasonable price point.

This is my second time that I've stayed at this awesome hotel.||I completely forgot about this place and then suddenly after much thinking remembered a place that I stayed a long time ago.||Very sceptical that I was, not sure whether it would be the same as before, called for a booking.||I was extremely happy from the moment I called. The same warmth as before. ||The moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and taken the room. The rooms were sparkling clean and very well appointed. We had a wonderful experience. Our original plan was to stay only for a night but the hotel made us extend a day just because we felt chilled out and easy going.||The staff were very nice and warm to us. ||The price is super affordable. Worth every penny .||The car parking was also so systematically organised with all cars parked in unison an in an angle so appealing. ||My Mercedes Benz S class was immaculately washed when I came down. Was a pleasant surprise. I thought someone had taken the car to a high end car wash. Felt on CLOUD NINE in fact my whole day was so happy due to the experience. ||Lovely lovely lovely!||Hats off to the management and staff. Will never stay anywhere else...

My stay at this hotel was really bad and not worth the money at all. They charged me 1900 rs for one night, but what I got felt like it should cost no more than 500 rs.

The sheets on the bed were super dirty, with clear stains and a bad smell that made it obvious they hadn't been cleaned properly for a long time. This was just the beginning of a very uncomfortable stay.

The bathroom was also very dirty and looked like nobody had cleaned it for weeks. It felt very unhygienic to use.

What made things worse was that they didn't even provide basic things like toilet paper. I couldn't believe a hotel could forget something so essential.

Overall, paying 1900 rs for a stay like this was a total rip-off. The hotel didn't meet even the simplest expectations for a clean and comfortable place to sleep. I would tell anyone thinking about staying here to look somewhere else unless you enjoy flushing money down the toilet.
