I recently visited Sree Subbu Mess to order a parcel, and it turned out to be one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered only half grill chicken and one naan rotti, but to my shock, the billing staff added an extra item — chicken rice — along with a parcel charge of ₹6, which I never asked for.
When I politely questioned the billing staff about the extra chicken rice being added to my bill, they refused to correct it. I clearly explained that I never placed an order for chicken rice, yet they continued to insist that I must pay the full amount. I even requested them to cancel the wrong item and issue a new corrected bill, but instead of resolving the issue, the staff rudely asked me to leave the restaurant.
This kind of rude and arrogant behavior is completely unacceptable, especially from a place that claims to be customer-friendly. I had come all the way from Chennai, and I never expected to be treated in such a disrespectful manner over a simple billing correction. I have visited many restaurants across Tamil Nadu and other states, but this was the first time in my life someone forced me to pay for food I didn’t order and refused to listen to the customer.
I strongly advise others to double-check their bills when ordering here and to be cautious of unethical practices. Customer satisfaction clearly has no value here.
Never going back again. Sree Subbu Mess has lost a...
Read moreI went to Subbu Mess around 3 o'clock and enjoyed my lunch there. After finishing my meal, I stepped out of Subbu Mess and noticed a mobile shop on the right side. I decided to check out some mobile cases, but I wasn't satisfied with the selection. I told the shop owner, "Thank you, but I have some important work to do at home. I will come back in a few days."
However, the shop owner insisted that I should buy something immediately and accused me of wasting their time. Frustrated, I explained, "I am a customer. If I find something I like, I will buy it. Otherwise, I won't."
The experience was very poor, and the customer handling at this mobile shop was terrible. They pressured me to make a purchase and even threatened to call other shops to find what I needed, insisting that I should wait. I told them I wasn't interested and left.
Another customer who witnessed this issue agreed with me, emphasizing the importance of customer satisfaction. They also chose to leave the shop without buying anything. This behavior reflects poorly on the mobile shop and indirectly on Subbu Mess as well.
If you visit Subbu Mess, enjoy the food, but avoid the mobile shop nearby. It's better to go to other shops in Gandhipuram for mobile accessories, where you'll find better service and customer satisfaction.

Read moreMy recent dining experience at Subbu Mess left me with mixed feelings. While there were some positive aspects, there were also areas where improvements could be made to enhance the overall customer experience.Starting with the positives, the food at Subbu Mess was flavorful and satisfying. The menu featured a variety of traditional dishes, each prepared with care and attention to detail. From the piping hot sambar to the crispy dosas, there were plenty of options to tantalize the taste buds. However, I found the ambiance of the restaurant to be lacking. The seating area was cramped and lacked proper ventilation, resulting in a somewhat uncomfortable dining environment. Additionally, the cleanliness of the establishment left much to be desired, with tables not being promptly cleared and floors appearing dirty.Furthermore, the service at Subbu Mess was average at best. While the staff were polite, they seemed overwhelmed and inattentive, resulting in slow service and missed orders.Overall, while Subbu Mess offers decent food at affordable prices, there are areas that could be improved upon to enhance the overall dining experience. With some attention to cleanliness, ambiance, and service, Subbu Mess has the potential to become a go-to spot for authentic South...
