Cheats and don't trust the reviews they are almost all paid for or obtained via giving discounts. We had booked our stay from 27th May 2025 to 29th May 2025 two rooms priced at Rs.7500 per night per room for a total of Rs.30,000 which was a waste. After one day of stay they said the resort was under Maintenance which they should have informed at the point of booking which they did not.||No direct access to the beach the rooms are small and the housekeeping is awful. Room Service is non existent. They do not have enough people to cater to the guests.||Check the flush and the water supply mostly they would require repairs and expect a lot of renovation work near your rooms with hammers and machines on the go from 9am to 6 pm.||Inform Housekeeping to clean the toilets and replace toiletries they will not do it as a standard procedure. Shout and rant if you need them to do their work polite requests and warm smiles do not work. ||The kitchens are under renovation the food is not up to the mark. Menu offering is very limited and not worth it. ||Breakfast is okay but not great. They have a wide spread but most of the things repeat everyday like Puri Bahi / Idli sambahr parathas so you are really not sure if they are fresh or leftovers reheated and served.||IT should be called the FERN DHABA and not a resort. The resort has no amenities as shown in the website and since they are pet friendly they have stray dogs by the dozen who bark and weep the whole night and no one is just bothered. We were afraid of stepping out of our rooms post 5 pm as the dogs were stationed besides our rooms and they would bark if we stepped out or try and enter our rooms.||The service does not exist. They had Hi tea complimentary but as my father who was a senior citizen (87 Years) remarked their is nothing Hi about their offering it should be renamed cold tea. ||The lady Jaya there said the tea is cold please wait for some hot tea we waited 20 minutes and after 20 Minutes she asked us why we are waiting and the tea that is there (COLD as ice ) is what we should be consuming. Talk about service the other guy Jugal would not even answer our questions avoiding us like he was deaf.||They do not have a restaurant they have a dinning hall which is occupied 75% by their marketing staff who pull in customers from the beach to sell them their membership and create a ruckus in the room where guests cannot even have a meal in peace. Flies are there in dozens and one of the flies also politely dropped into our butter milk which the Good Staff took it to replace but brought it out in 2 minutes by removing the fly with a spoon. So very resourceful of them.||Anything you ask for needs a wait time of 30 Minutes and multiple reminders. As a case in point we asked for Whisky glasses (Which should have been present in the bathroom by default which went missing on the second day morning) and had to wait 3 hours before someone responded and again asked us what we wanted after repeating it 10 times. The glasses finally arrived but one glass was cracked which took another 30 Minutes to replace.||There is a small Kids or Mini Swimming Pool which they passed off as a pool with no towels or attendants near by. That is the only facility on Offer.||The rooms are never cleaned properly all the rooms are wet and hair is all over the place you have to shout and demand then the housekeeping will clean it properly and provide you with bedroom slippers.|They ensured that they spoiled my Vacation / Money / My Birthday Celebration and Time with Aplomb and when we vented they started offering us discounts on the food bills.||The reason I am writing this is to help save the vacations of families like ours who wish to spend time in leisure. I really believe in the reviews and If I had seen one review like this I would never have booked this resort.||Think twice before you book this resort if you ready to fight and shout this is the resort for you else abstain. Hope I am able to help some of you...
Read moreExtremely Disappointing Experience
I recently had the unfortunate experience at The Fern Hotel in Diu, and I must say it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment I checked in to the moment I left, everything about this hotel was a complete letdown.
First and foremost, the customer service was abysmal. The staff seemed indifferent and uninterested in providing any kind of assistance or making the guests feel welcome. They were unfriendly, unresponsive to requests, and lacked basic courtesy. It felt like they were doing us a favor by allowing us to stay there, rather than providing genuine hospitality.
The rooms were a major disappointment as well. The cleanliness was below par, with dusty surfaces, stained linens, and an overall unkempt appearance. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were lumpy. The bathrooms were in a terrible state, with broken tiles, leaking faucets, and a foul odor that never seemed to dissipate. It was clear that the management had little regard for maintaining the rooms in good condition.
Moreover, the amenities promised on their website were nowhere to be found. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and barely functional, making it impossible to stay connected. It was clear that the hotel management did not prioritize guest satisfaction or invest in maintaining the facilities.
The dining experience at The Fern Hotel was equally disappointing. The breakfast buffet was limited in options, and the quality of the food was subpar. The service at the restaurant was slow, and the staff seemed disorganized and overwhelmed. Overall, the dining experience was far from satisfactory.
To add insult to injury, the location of the hotel was not ideal. It was situated far from the main attractions, making it inconvenient and expensive to commute to popular tourist spots. The lack of nearby restaurants and shops further added to the inconvenience.
In conclusion, The Fern Hotel in Diu was a complete disaster. From the terrible customer service to the poorly maintained rooms and lackluster amenities, there was nothing about this hotel that lived up to its reputation or the expectations set by their website. I would strongly advise against choosing this hotel for your stay in Diu. There are plenty of better options available that offer superior service and...
Read moreAccording to the staff, ours was perhaps the longest stay anyone stays at this property - 8 nights, but there wasn't even a single moment when I felt bored. If you are a sea lover, this is the place for you. Staff is very helpful. Manasvi (sales), Manjur (front office), Darpan (cart driver), Arun (room service), Haresh, Bheem, Abhishek (chefs), Ashish, Vivek (restaurant), Heeral (Spa), Roshni & team (Housekeeping) looked after us very well. They went out of their way to make sure that my parents (who have medical conditions) and I have a great and comfortable stay. They are fairly generous and flexible. If you have a genuine reason, they will make exceptions for you, only for your convenience. There are a total of 81 rooms, fairly spacious. Buffet is decent spread, slightly leaning towards vegetarians but with a dish or two for non vegetarians like me (don't expect cold cuts etc. - non vegetarian food is basic but decently cooked). Don't miss the handmade chocolates prepared by Chef Bheem which is brought to the guests in their rooms by housekeeping team with a smile. Away from the city but close to Nagoa Beach where all the action (water sports etc) is - walking distance from the property. Airport is small and super cute (can be missed easily, is 3 kms away from the property) and the ride from the airport to the resort is beautiful, alongside the sea. There are different categories of rooms (they all are super sturdy tents), some garden facing, some pool facing and a few sea facing. Make sure to pick the sea facing one since that is most exquisite. The private beach is 30 meters away with a few swings etc. There are no direct flights from Delhi to Diu. We took the layover at Surat and Ahmedabad during arrival and departure at Diu respectively (Indigo) and the hotel staff was quite prepared on arrival. Housekeeping is attentive and helpful. All in all, it is a must visit. I hope to come back to this...
