Hotel is a sham. Not a 5 star property. You have to pay immediately upon reaching the property (no delay) but room allotment takes 2 hours. They don’t show you hotel before they charge you as they know one can change his/her mind after.
We stayed here room no 217 from 26th to 29th.
Room- small, messy but has basic amenities. Room bathroom is a total mess. Very small. No bath cubicle resulting into water spilled over entire bathroom.
Swimming Pool- okay size. They don’t provide any inflatable/rings; they charge for it. They also charge for small boat ride they have. Only access to pool is not chargeable. Again service is slow. Washroom near pool was a mess. Limited availability of towels.
Breakfast - spread is just average but it’s all that sweet maida items; yogurt was made up of artificial flavours. Most of the food is tasteless except the dosa. Services are again poor. Most of the staff is pre-occupied with their own personal discussion. All those in white uniform were not attentive. Even when you request something, they just hear and ignore and they are plenty. But few guys in Grey T-shirts were really helpful.
Room Service - asked for water refilling and they took 30 minutes, 2 reminders and 1 personal visit. So if you are that guy who love to have room services, you will be utterly disappointed.
Other facilities- they don’t have any transport facility. You have to talk to security Guard outside hotel if you want any service like bike/car rental, taxi. He will connect you with local taxi operators who charge you 50% extra. Seems that hotel management has some arrangement with local taxi people.
Kid/Arcade Area- An utter disappointment awaits you. You cannot leave your kid (even when the kid is +5 years in the play room). 1 parent is to be there every time. So if you as a couple want to sit and relax in restaurant/pool adjacent to the play room, you cannot do that. Arcade game is chargeable.
Sum up- You plan that yearly trip and then you get trapped with huge disappointment. 16k per night for a small room with free breakfast which is not at all worth; It’s not worth it. One can either give this hotel a skip or if you really want 5 star amenities choose the right one. But if you choose this hotel, consider this hotel as a service apartment where they offer you all basic amenities and you don’t expect anything further. But then 16k/night is unjustified if category level services are not provided.
Update- Just after the review on google, property manager reached out asking for the issues but nothing changed. The lacklustre attitude of the staff continued. At every step, staff continued to be either ignorant or rude. Clearly hotel team manages google reviews that is why able to have 4.5 rating…in real world with real customers, they would be hardly able to manage 3 rating with the kind of service attitude they have. To compensate of our ruined stay (which costed 48000), we were offered cheap wine bottle (Sula wine...
Read moreI don’t even know where to start ! This is the first time I paid for something to experience disappointment at its max.
What I understood from the whole experience is that they only count their efforts and are not worried about the results they are generating out of those efforts !
Paid several extra $$$ for 2x pool view rooms and we got the pool view during the second night only where never got to experience it ! But atleast that was done !
The corridors that leads to the rooms stinks as well as filled up with plates containing leftover foods and were lying down on the floor as well as the common balcony enclosure along with corridors and we were genuinely confused whether we are supposed to carry those plates kept by others as we walk down or not ! That was the state of the room service and their promptness !
Unfortunately we booked for HalfBoard for both rooms and got to know that they have arranged two separate buffets for those who booked deep inside within the cafe, and one for those who likes to pay there with outdoor musics and vibe !
When we visited the cafe, almost all tables had uncleared plates and cutleries and had to call couple of the staff members to enquire why it is kept like that and all they like is to escalate it and finally operations person named Caine arrived ! The one who took orders for ice cream kept on blabbering about various flavours they don’t even have and twice they came back saying that those are not available and our kids opted out of it and the one I got which is a basic vanilla had frozen ice portions ! Caine had to apologise for everything, we felt bad and left the place ! Next day onwards, there was imminent changes, I must say !
Will never stay again or will never ever recommend this Kanjoos Hyatt ever to anyone because you know what ? “They try to sell even Swimming floaties” for kids and when asked, I got a reply that only Taj provides it for free in North Goa ! The Marriott we came from, made sure they delivered above and beyond their commitments and we were in literal wonderment on what !
What more to say, I had to recheck whether it is the same Hyatt that we have experienced at various other places ! Even the Buffet spread was like so basic being a weekend ! Goa gave me two extreme experiences with regards to buffet as the best we experienced belonged to Zuri whitesands and the worst at Hyatt Candolim !
However, on the day of check out they graced us with extended checkout by around 4 hrs and the set menu available for serving lunch also tweaked to provide us with a better experience and the fortunately whatever available food and all were good (except that ice cream they served).
Couple of people attempted to make our experience a little better and I appreciate them - Caine who deals operations, Sahiba at Front Desk &...

This place is a sham as it's not at all 5 star hotel. Everything here is a workaround. The moment yuu make the payment for your stay, utter disappointment will follow you in this property where ever you go.
Very little or no staff and they are Untrained. Does not treat you like guest but like a tenant. Feedback are taken personally and seriously and are responded with defensiveness and threat like tone.
Property is very tiny. Just rooms, small swimming pool, a small dining area, small child play room with chargeable games. Gaming equipment are not into good shape.
Room Services are pathetic - just to give water bottle they took 3 minutes, 2 calls and a personal visit.
Food Menu is poor and prices are so exorbitant.
Room are Small and messy. .Definately not a five star. The garden view room are a scam as there is no privacy. Anyone standing outside in garden and swimming pool will have a clear view of inside.
Swimming Pool - Got a small swimming pool. They have created a small shop near to pool to sell inflatables. They also charge for anything you use. Only a management with cheap mentality would charge you 300 for the little ride in the swimming pool for which you already paid 48k. It's not about 300, it's about the inconvenience and the kind of loot.
Overall ambience is so cold. They are under staffed. Even at peak season of Christmas they don't have 24/7 reception. You have to make multiple calls as calls are usually unattended.
We stayed in room no. 217 (26th Dec to 29th Dec) paid 16k per night and the property is not worth this money. I know stay in goa is costly but you expect the service basis the star category of the hotel. If one has to just stay in the room as hotel got nothing to offer what's the point for staying in 5 star hotel though this place is not a 5 star property. It's typical 3 star hotel with limited staff.
We stayed in Radisson blu Goa candolim (a few years back) and that property offered far better services, amenities and hospitality. It's appears that some landlord has opened this hotel who treat it's guest as tenants. I regret I had the option to choose radison but to save 4k per night, I ended up with the poor hyatt thing.
Obviously many reviews are paid otherwise how come someone rates this property 5 star with all those flaws.
My advice - don't choose this hotel. If you don't have option, don't expect anything other than a room. Consider that you are staying in a 3 star property and...
