Margao Residency — Hotel in Goa

I would rate 5 stars to Margoa residency. It is at a prime location and is just under 2 kms to Madgaon railway station back gate (platform 4) and under 3 kms to platform 1. They have dedicated car parking slots on the road for tourists coming by their vehicles plus they have few tourist cabs through which you can opt for package tours of North and South Goa. The rooms are optimum in size. Very well maintained and sparkling clean. Air Conditioning works perfectly fine here. We took a room with 2 single beds as we were a family of 2 adults and 2 children, it is more wider than a single double bed. The staff were generous enough not to charge anything additional for my kids aged 12 and 8. They charged the room tariff only for me an my wife. It came to 2296/- per night including GST. We get complimetnary breakfast vouchers which can be redeemed at 1st floor, Preethi Veg and Non Veg restaurant. You also have the option to get the breakfast room delivered free of cost. Breakfast options are decent enough, you get 2 Poori with bhaji (gravy), bread sandwich, Sheera or upma and a small bowl of cut fruits along with a cup of hot tea of coffee. Breakfast for 2 suffice all 4 of us, we took room service. Staff are very well behaved and very polite, courteous and helpful. a very good one from Goa tourism and i strongly recommend this for families.you get taxi from outside the hotel and they charge 150/- for drop to platform 4 and 200/- for platform 1 drop. Rooms have balconies and geysers. So you can have hot bath and dry your clothes...

Don't judge this place by its outer appearance! This is one of the best places, I have stayed in Goa so far. The check in was smooth, the front desk staff was courteous. The rooms were spacious, sparkling clean & the bathroom was great too. For the price I paid, the rooms were above that! For those who like silence & peace, this place is for you.

Bathrooms have cold & hot water 24X7. Taxis, rickshaws or buses are right outside the main door. MMC market is at a walking distance . Restaurants & cafes are nearby too.

Margao Residency is manged by the Government of Goa.

It is situated just next to old Margao Municipality, it is in the heart of Margao city.

Most of the time the accommodation is occupied by low class Government officials.

You cannot book this accommodation online. If you are on a business trip and if you want to stay in the heart of the city, you can try, but mostly you may not get the accommodation. If you happen to get one, do not stay for more than a day, for the same price you will get better accommodation in Margo, you may try Hotel woodlands, or Nanutel, these are private hotels and the quality of accommodation is much superior.
