Marina Bay Beach Resort — Hotel in Goa

A very good budget hotel if your wants are less.

Pros: Near to market and condolim Beach Helpful and polite staff Penthouse rooms were very big and cleaned every day properly Small fridge was there. Price of food menu was ok. Water is provided one bottle each day.

Cons: There is no lift and our penthouse rooms were at 4th floor. You have to take a lot of stairs so choose properly if you have elders or aged people with you Ac was not working properly and was repaired immediately. However my only complaint is that hotel should plan maintenance for AC in advance and not when customers are there. Our 3 hrs were wasted while electrician was repairing it. No flip-flops available They have the master key which they will use to access the room Swimming pool was small but ok Very small and limited options in breakfast Mostly bread and jam, with aalo paratha and anda bhurji or puri chole and anda burji or idli sambar and upma. This will be the combination. I actually did not liked the breakfast but for a budget hotel it's ok No car parking space inside hotel. You have park outside hotel which is also limited to 6 cars. For bike there is space inside the hotel There is a restaurant which is only available till 10pm. Taste is ok Wi-Fi was very slow . It's range was not good in top floors. If you are planning to work this is the problem you will face Please take care of your keys, you will be asked to pay Rs 1500 for lost keys which I feel is too much. 500 charge is ok No phone available for room service you would need to call with personal number No kettle, No plates, very small soap with out shampoo was provided. The staff is pathetic and poorly trained, food to behaviour everything is horrendous. They will charge you over MRP on the things you take from the fridge, they will also put additional GST on the overpriced items if you ask for a bill. The bill is also not genuine, just a hand written bill without GST NO on it. The bedsheets are mostly dirty and the mattresses are all crushed (they will give you backaches). The chairs are dust laiden and haven't been cleaned from ages. The restaurant staff won't hesitate to knock your door in the middle of the night just to get the bill cleared for the lunch. If you ask for electric kettle, they will give you a kettle with two smelling cups and you will be told to get tea/ coffee or milk sachet on your own. No toiletries, no shampoo, lotion, shaving or dental kit, no shower cap, no sleepers. Just a 5rs soap for washing hands. No exhaust fan in the washroom, the doors don't close properly. Photos fixed in broken glass and you will find plenty of ants in the room. No intercom and you will need to call from your mobile phone. The buffet breakfast is horrible and you better eat out. They probably have a syrup base in which they add some flavour which is presented as juice (Don't quote me on this, this is what I felt).

Very decent hotel. TV with Tata Sky, small fridge were working fine. Breakfast was good enough - Bread/jam/butter, coffee/tea/milk, cereal/juice, eggs/chicken sausages, maggi, paratha, egg burji/omlettes, upma/poha Rooms were also good and enough size for a family of 4; the suites include a bedroom, bathroom, small kitchen and a decent sized dining/TV room. Additional bed on request for my 9 year was given and the beds were not too soft/hard. Cleaning was done once a day but the sheets were not changed during our 3 night stay and we did not ask too. The whole resort was well maintained; my kids had fun in the 3 feet/5 feet pools and they were clean/clear; I saw their team clean up both pools in the morning & evening. Room service was available but little slow; Pradeep & his team in the dining area were very helpful especially with the kids. The location is ideal actually; the approach is narrow but it is very calming since it is like 2 blocks away from main road(candolim-Aguada road). Lot of parking for 2 wheeler and 5+ street side car parking too.

My kids loved the place since it has lots of open place, 2 garden areas, swimming pool. I recommended this place to my cousin who is planning to go to Goa...
