Just got back from a 3 night stay.
Firstly the positives. The room was very nice, modern, spacious, very comfortable queen bed and great bathroom. The courtyard area and plunge pool was a very nice addition and this was the reason we booked this accommodation. The location is great for exploring Vagator as it’s very central to Ozran Beach Road which has some great places to eat and drink. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was ok, had noodles which were delicious.
Now the negatives, the hotel itself plays loud music past midnight and it’s relentless!!! It a very quite Resturant, not many people come in for drinks or dinner but the music doesn’t stop until gone midnight. I find it bizarre that the staff play thumping loud music to an empty bar knowing only 30 feet away the residence are trying to sleep.
Also avoid room 1 it’s the worse room! When booking months in advanced I asked if we could have the best room, which they replied “ they are all the same”. They are not! Room 1 gets NO SUN in the courtyard and pool. So if you’re thinking of relaxing, catching some sun dipping in your pool forget it. Also room 1 is closest to the busy road so at night not only do you hear the loud thumping trance music from the outdoor rave across the street you hear the constant noise of Royal Enfield motorbikes, cars beeping their horns and scooters. Yes these rooms maybe soundproof but it doesn’t cut out all noise as one wall is glass and the bathroom has a plastic ceiling so it’s not soundproof. I would recommend staying here if you’re here on the basis of partying all night. Please avoid room 1 if you want sun.
Side note the outdoor rave only happens Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so if you avoided these days and the hotel would turn their music down to a background noise level this hotel would be a...
Read moreOn paper and on first arriving this place was magical and 5* plus. However after a few days it became apparent it’s anything but.
On arrival the first day we showered, changed and went out for some food and a few drinks. On returning it quickly became apparent we were to get zero sleep that night due to the hard core trance music from the club down the street. Even with noise cancelling headphones on we both had very little sleep. Thinking this might be a 1 off as it was an Indian holiday on the weekend we arrived, we were disappointed to be again left sleepless the following Friday and Saturday night with the same blaring music until 7am!
The room service was hit and miss, whilst the team did a great job of clearing the room, some days we would receive a replenish of bottled water, some days not. We had pool towels left for us 1 day, I put them with the other towels to be washed and we never had a replenish.
Breakfast- if you want a warm option it’s eggs, eggs or eggs to the extent we found a lovely place not too far away to go for breakfast after about our 3rd or 4th day and didn’t bother with the hotel choices anymore.
Minibar - no price list in the room and not replenished at any point during our 9 night stay so had presumed it was complimentary until we checked out and received the mini-bar bill.
Bar - popped in 1 day after a long walk/run for a drink on our return for my partner to be served an out of date can of coke.
Overall the standard expected for the price range within Goa this did not live up to...
Read moreJust got off from the stay at Oia. First time stay in month of May in extreme heat.
How it started? Came to the reception. Forget welcome drink. Not even a glass of water offered. Its like one person at a plain counter with nothing to offer but a key. Why did we not book an Oyo instead?
Overall View: The reviews here are overly exaggerated. While the outside decor is decent, the pathway to room is very constrained and looks like lot including restaurant, swimming pool and cottages packed in a small area.
Positives: Bathroom was the only good thing. Beautiful decor and good feeling overall. Private pool connected to the common pool. Slight perk but again the same water flows in rhe private pool and always gets cluttered with leaves falling from tree at the top.
Thats it.
Negatives: Extremely poor service from restaurant and room service. Only one restaurant that too Japanese. Nothing other than that. If you want a different indian snack or tea, not available. We had to swivgy thrice during a two day stay. Restaurant staff was polite but rest including reception had fake smiles and were frowny in general. Non cooperative to say the least. The watchman at the entrance was much polite.
Overall it was an okayish experience as compared to the much...
