WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY 14 YEARS OF TRAVEL/TOURISM CARRIER.
BEING A TRAVEL AGENT AND A MEMBER OF ADTOI, WE HOPED THAT WE HAD A GREAT TIME IN MANALI. BUT ALL VANISH DUE TO THE BELOW SCENARIO.
WE WENT MANALI 12 DAYS BACK WITH FAMILY. ON ARRIVAL WE GOT THE ROOMS STATED THE ROOMS ARE FAMILY ROOMS. UNFORTUNATELY ONE OF OUR ROOMS DOESN'T HAD THE INTERCOM FACILITY AND NO WATER IN THE BATHROOM. AND COMOD FLUSH WAS NOT WORKING, IN EVENING SOMEHOW THEY HAVE RECTIFIED THE ISSUE OF FLUSH, WE HAVE ASKED ABOUT THE TOWEL IN THE ROOM, BUT HOUSEKEEPING STAFF SAID VERY POLITELY THAT "DUE TO FESTIVAL THE TOWEL COULDN'T WASHED AND CAME BACK FROM LAUNDRY". AT LAST WE STAYS OVERNIGHT IN EDEN MONAL.
DESPITE REMINDER GIVEN TO THE RECEPTION PEOPLE ABOUT THE WATER AND COMOD FLUSH PROBLEM, WE AGAIN CATCH UP WITH THE SAME ISSUE DURING THE MIDNIGHT AT 3AM. AS FOR SEEN EARLY IN THE MORNING AGAIN BIG HITCHED UP FOUND. THERE WERE NO ELECTRICITY AND NO WATER FROM MORNING 06.30AM. SOME PEOPLE WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE ROHTANG PASS (SINCE IT WAS HUGE RUSH ON THE WAY TO ROHTANG). BUT DUE TO THIS THEY ARE UNABLE TO GO ON TIME. WHEN SOME PEOPLE ASKED TO START GENERATOR , RECEPTION PERSON SAID "WE DONT HAVE GENERATOR IN OUR HOTEL" . SOME OF THE HOTEL PEOPLE SAID THAT THEY DON'T HAVE A MONEY TO FILL DIESEL IN GENERATOR. AS THE HOTEL MANAGERS AND HOTEL CARE TAKER WAS ON LEAVE FROM PAST 4-5 DAYS DUE TO FESTIVAL ID. DESPITE REGULAR CALLS AND FOLLOW UPS WITH MS. ATIA NOOR AND MR. CHAITANYA, THEY ARE UNABLE TO DO ANY MAJOR RECTIFICATION ON THE ONGOING PROBLEM WHICH WAS ARISE EARLY IN THE MORNING. SINCE WE DIDN'T GOT ANY OTHER OPTION TO LEAVE THE HOTEL IMMEDIATELY TO AVOID ANY SUCH CONDITION HAPPENED WITH MY FAMILY. DUE TO THE ABOVE KIOSK OUR FULL DAY WAS LOST.
WHEN SENIOR MANAGEMENT IS NOT THERE IN THE HOTEL, THIS PROBLEMS WILL ALWAYS ARISE ON A REGULAR BASIS. WE HAVE CALLED MS. ATIA NOOR ALMOST 100 TIMES FROM PAST 2 DAYS, BUT SHE DIDN'T TURNED UP AND THAN WE CALLED MR. CHAITANYA, HIS RUDE BEHAVIOR TOWARDS US LEFT US NO CHOICE TO DISCONTINUE THE SERVICES WITH THEM.
THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD AND EXCELLENT HOTELS ARE THERE IN NEARBY AROUND. CAN GET WITHIN 1800-2800/- PER NIGHT WITH BREAKFAST. WE STAYED IN HOTEL SAGAR RESORT, NEAR BY IT WAS REALLY EXCELLENT. WITH REGARDS TO SERVICE AND AMBIANCE.

No one at the reception. No welcome drinks. Rooms in the worst condition. Not even worth 1 star. Attached images below. Lights not working, Locks not working. After complaining, got the rooms changed but the hotelier can only manage two rooms which were there in the itinerary, the 3rd room was already occupied by someone else. After so much trouble of shifting rooms we find that the new rooms didn't have water supply. From 6pm till 10pm there was not even a single drop of water. Had to use other hotel for washroom. Plates provided for dinner are paper plates, felt like eating at some temple. After asking we got proper plates. Glasses have a layer or black substance at the bottom and stink worse than the toilets. No toiletries, most of the taps leak, even the toilet seats are broken and geysers are like ancient ones. After keeping then on for 30-40mins you get hot water. At around 11am in the morning there is no water in the rooms and we had to use washroom of other rooms on different floor. At night we found people drinking and smoking in middle of the hotel. Shouldn't say this but it looked like some 3rd grade hotel. Also it's more of an insect/bug friendly hotel than humans as there are cockroaches, spiders and other insects almost everywhere. The telephone in the rooms didn't work, we have to call Ravi on his personal number for any assistance. Also a socket alongside bed didn't work.
Why was the room in the itinerary not shown during the time of check-in. Only after complaining the actual rooms were allotted(only 2 out of 3). What if some customers didn't complaint, the money paid is wasted.
Please make sure that this hotel is not in the itinerary of any other customer as it's not worth giving a single rupee. Infact charge a fine for spoiling the customer experience and for fooling the customers by showing images of rooms which cannot be alloted or are not there in the hotel.
In all it was a very disappointing experience coming at the end of a wonderful trip.

Went to Manali on 8th Dec 2018 for a long awaited holiday .. hoped to have a good time and stay in a nice clean hotel . But what a disaster it was !!! Hotel monal is like a lodge for bachelors not a hotel where families can stay. Cigarettes buds every where, pillows are ridden with fungus, the property is littered with monkey poo, and there is so much trash under the bed !! What was even more shocking was when we decided to change hotels.. the manager Raju and the staff revealed their goondagiri .. harassing ladies and children on the road and not letting us leave. This even after 100% payment was made in full to the hotel by the travel agent! Oh what an horrid experience !! Mis management and try to cheat customer every time, , i read other reviews also they have pratice to provide other rooms to its customers, if i asked any thing they have only one answer "NO" AND "ITS NOT POSSIBLE", last day of stay there was not power and water, cant recommend to others. please book it cautiously The room and bathroom were unclean and even they didn't have changed the bedsheet and towels during my three days of stay. The reviews for this hotel are clearly false and made up by hotel staff (which I have found on many Indian hotel reviews) The photos have been enhanced and edited as the hotel is old and shabby. The outside is filthy with glass panes missing and looks nothing like the photo. The beds were dirty and very uncomfortable and the rooms were cold and extremely old looking. The staff were un-welcoming and looked surprised at the arrival of guests, who would have thought we arrived at a hotel?! PS. Please beware of Hotels like Monal
My suggestions will be not go by the current rating I was also misguided by the rating and had booked for three days. Overall...
