Jackhill Nature Stay, Manali — Hotel in Great Himalayan Range

The property is supposed to 5 star rating but because of it's Host Mr. Harshvardhan , I am giving 2 star rating.

I booked this stay for my family from 04-11-2021 to 07-11-2021 through AirBNB. As the view was beautiful as per the photos uploaded by the Host , seeing all these I booked. Before coming to the main story , let me summarize the stay

Pros : Absolutely beautiful view from the 1st floor balcony (if you are staying there). Quite and peaceful to stay away from city's hustle . You can enjoy the sun almost whole day .

Cons :

Not for family with kids of below 7-8 years and aged persons. You have almost hike a distance of 1.2 KM from the Mall Road whenever you want to go .

Access for cars are very limited. Front road are also not so good. The day we left , some people started to constructing it.

In house food is too costly comparing to its quality. They will not tell the rates during ordering and on checking out day , they will give a bill of huge amount. We stayed there 3 days and for 4 dinner & 3 breakfast they charges Rs2600/- for 2 adult and 1 child whereas most of the days they gave sub-standard vegetables , under boiled rice and 3 rotis.

Now coming to the main issue. Mr Harvardhan. After viewing all the reviews , we booked the same through AirBNB and made the whole payment during the booking as per the process atleast 15 days before. The Host accepted the booking. One day before arrival , I called the person and asked in details about how to reach and also requested to allocate the room with best view. He confirmed the same.

On the day upon reaching the property , the care taker called him and asked which room is to allocate. Then he handed over the phone to me. Then Mr. Harshvardhan started saying that he can not allocate the room with balcony in 1st floor for 3rd day as he had given booking to some other family. So my question was then why he confirmed the booking. Shamelessly he was saying that why I called him and asked for the room on just one day before !!! The question was shocking to me. He shared and advertised to property with photos of the room with view and after reaching he was forcing to accommodate in other room. What kind of business ethics he is following I dont know. I completely disagreed with the proposal. He then started threatening me by saying that he will cancel the booking and I should take up with Air BNB for the refund. After having this such kind of experience , I would not not recommend anyone to go there at all. After many argument as I did not had any option left , I stopped discussing with him and called AirBNB and explain all these. Immediately after calling the Air BNB , he called me back and said the room will be allocated and he was saying "SORRY" !! But by that time his behavior left a very bad taste.

In the evening I met another family who was complaining about the same where during booking they asked lesser amount and later they had been asked to pay more. The similar kind of argument happened.

Property is good and unless they manage it properly with basic business ethics , they can not run the same for longer period.

So before staying over there please have all confirmation. Once you reach , you may have to fight alone if you do not have the...

Everything there was just perfect except for one two things I liked everything about the property, it was clean and spacious, the staff was good and very friendly, The food was good too and it almost felt like we have come home and to some hotel, we received that kind of treatment, we only faced a little issue in reaching the property as it is on a little height and the way to reach there is little tricky and narrow but it is not their mistake , i guess mostly all the homes there are made in that way only anyways and the other thing is that wifi was not working when we were there which can be fixed if it happens regularly but rest everything was perfect and it was the most amazing stay we had and absoultely...

Travelling with family and a 6 month old baby. The location is family friendly. 10 mins from the main market yet isolated with good mountain views. You will need a cab if you have suitcases. We walked half the time to and from mall road and old Manali. Our plan was to stay here 2 days but extended our trip. Owner Harsh is hospitable and so are staff members. Food is homely. There is a washing machine as well. Would recommend coming here. Also a good place for friends to party. And there were heaps of youngsters here.
