I have respect and admiration for punjabi people. I am a big fan of their food too.

With that in mind, we came to this restaurant. We got the seat immediately despite the crowd on mall road.

We wanted a light eat but not a snack. We ordered what seemed like a good choice in terms of our hunger.

Plain Khichidi for me and 2 Tandoori Naan for wife with a portion of Bhindi Masala to go with it.

Either way, the portion size was small or pricing too high.

The naan were baby size, smallest i have seen so far, and i am over 50 years of age. The khichidi came in a baby size Kadhai, i have shown in with their dinner plate to show the size comparison.

It was ridiculous and an insult to customers. It's a fraud in the least.

Makke di rotti was smothered in oil or ghee.. dripping as we picked it up.

As we ate, we had a clear view of their waste disposal and cutlery dumping area.

We saw them separating food and paper waste. Plates went into another basket and spoons, etc, into a smaller plastic container.

To our horror, we witnessed them just pick up the spoons container and drop the spoons on the table just to be wiped by cloth and to be used again..

I almost felt like puking, knowing i used one of the same spoons for my khichidi.

This setup requires a visit by the health department.. closed if it were up to me. Utter disregard for people's health. Even kids eat here, for gods sake, have some humanity.

I completely lost all respect for my Punjabi brothers today.. sorry, but you guys are no longer an honorable lot.

Food was decent only because i don't know how it was prepared and in...

My Experience at Ashiana Restaurant, Manali During my visit to Manali, I had the chance to dine at the Ashiana Restaurant, which offered a wonderful blend of taste, comfort, and hospitality. Located near the main Mall Road, the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere with cozy seating arrangements and a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. The moment I entered, the aroma of freshly cooked food and the warm welcome from the staff created a very positive impression. The menu at Ashiana Restaurant included a wide variety of dishes ranging from traditional Himachali cuisine to North Indian and Chinese meals. I tried the Himachali thali, which was full of local flavors, and the butter chicken, which was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The food was served hot and fresh, and the portion size was satisfying. The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and decorated simply but tastefully. The service was quick, and the staff members were polite and attentive. What I liked the most was that even though the restaurant was busy, the service remained smooth and friendly. While enjoying my meal, I could see the snow-covered mountains through the glass windows, which made the dining experience even more special. The peaceful environment and quality of food made my visit truly memorable.Overall, my experience at Ashiana Restaurant was excellent. It is a perfect place to enjoy tasty food, warm service, and a calm ambiance in the heart of Manali. I would definitely recommend it to anyone...

Title: Disappointing Culinary Experience

I recently dined at AASHIANA RESTAURANT, MAAL ROAD, MANALI, and unfortunately, the overall food quality left much to be desired. The adjective "pathetic" accurately sums up the culinary experience.

Starting with the appetizers, they lacked the promised flavors and freshness, setting a disappointing tone for the entire meal. The main courses were equally subpar – the dishes were either overcooked or underseasoned, resulting in a bland and unappetizing taste. It seemed as though the chefs neglected the basics of proper seasoning and culinary finesse.

Moreover, the presentation was lackluster, with dishes appearing hastily assembled and lacking the visual appeal that one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The lack of attention to detail extended to the service, as the staff seemed indifferent and inattentive.

In addition to the taste and presentation issues, the portion sizes were surprisingly small, considering the prices on the menu. This further contributed to the sense of dissatisfaction throughout the dining experience.

Overall, my visit to [Restaurant Name] was a letdown. The culinary execution fell far below expectations, leaving me with a regrettable dining memory. I hope the restaurant addresses these issues to ensure a more satisfying experience for...

Never ever step into this restaurant people. I tasted the worst chat in my entire life!!.. Samosa, samosa chat, Masala Puri etc everything was served with the same two red and green chutneys.. Have never seen Pani Puri being filled with tomato and green chutney! That also had a wired taste. Only if you want to spoil your appetite and the evening, go to that place . Or if you want to breakup with your girlfriend, take her there and make her eat a whole plate of golgappa.. Bingo! You will never see her again!.. it was expensive too. The badam milk was also not good. Please avoid stepping into that hotel. I usually never give bad rating even if it's slightly good or eatable. This was the worst!. Save yourselves!

Disappointing Experience - Overpriced and Tasteless Food We visited this place on 29th March 2025 for lunch with our families. The food was extremely disappointing and overpriced. The kadhi was unappetizing, the Kashmiri dum aloo was a disaster, and the prices were exorbitant - we ended up paying double of what we spent on food for the entire 4-day trip. The food was tasteless, and the waiter forced us to order the Kashmiri dum aloo repeatedly, which seemed like a leftover dish. Since we were traveling with kids, we didn't want to get into an argument and ruin our trip. If you're planning to visit Manali, avoid eating at this place at all costs.
