𝗠𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲-
We settle in and start exploring the menu and choose the nine-course meals cooked using earthen utensils with age-old traditional methods like -
▪️𝗡𝗮𝘀𝗵𝘁𝗮 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗮 is a huge six-container rectangle wooden box having six types of dry snacks including khakhra, chakris, fafda, sev mamra, sun-dried guvar fali served with kadhi, papaya chhin, green chutney and red chutney, I enjoyed su dried guvar fali and fades with papaya sambharo.
▪️𝗙𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 was served in two-floor stands which were again very attractive to look for. We enjoyed Rajasthani mirchi wada, Jodhpuri pyaz ki kachori, purple yam wafers, banana wafers and sweet potato cutlets. My favourite pick-ups were mirchi wada, cutlet and kachoris.
▪️In 𝗕𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀, we enjoyed five flavours of refreshing mocktails named with Gujarat's textile craft fabrics like Opal (mint lemonade) Thewa (Apple juice), Warli (watermelon mojito), Akik(a drink served in book format having ingredients like turmeric, orange juice, ginger, honey etc), and a marigold mocktail. I loved Opal and Warli.
▪️In 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁 we had Palak patta chat( scrumptious crunchy treat of the day) Moogdal vada in tiny forms and one unique dish made of soya chunks served with mini buns. The presentation of the chat was a show-stopper of the day served in brass thal. 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘆𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 detailed to us the perfect way to relish each dish.
▪️In 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗮, we had the unique shape of Khaman, and soft Patra along with a bowl of assorted boiled pulses with jaggery-infused chiki.
▪️In the 𝗔𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀, we enjoyed five flavours of in-housed crafted ice golas. My favourite was gulab and pineapple.
▪️In main course we had 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗶 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗮𝗹 having gujarati roti, bhakri, bajra roti, thepla, Rajasthani khoba roti and puris whereas in 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗮𝗹 we enjoyed rice with naat ni dal, roti with parval malai sabzi, govind gatta, sev tamatar, panchkutiya, buttermilk, papad, pickles and salad.
▪️In the 𝗸𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗶 𝗸𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗶 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 we enjoyed the world's best vegetable khichadi with kathiyawadi style kadhi made by chef Chandanben and served at the live counter.
▪️To end the long-lasting menu we had a 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗵𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 ( a platter of sweet indulgence) which includes one milk halwa, chickpea burfi called as Magaz, ice cream kulfi, Ghevar Tart and Mohanthal. The thal was decorated with rose petals and a smoky effect was given to the kulfis.
▪️Tiny mini bottles arrived as 𝗣𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘁𝘀, a refreshing mouth freshener that has a flavour of betel leaves and gulkand. Just shake and relish it in one gallop.
▪️Lastly, we enjoyed 8 types of 𝗠𝘂𝗸𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘀 that arrived in a huge Pitara out of which I enjoyed paan and amla candies.
The hospitality is synonymous with the huge number of cuisines served with five-star courtesy, the warm staff justifies the name, 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝘁 - to attain every 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗢𝗨𝗦...

Read moreOur visit to Sarvatt Restaurant started with great expectations, but unfortunately, the experience fell short in several ways. Being known for authentic Gujarati cuisine, we were eager to explore its offerings. However, we were let down when we discovered that à la carte service was unavailable, leaving us with no option but to opt for their four-course meal. This rigid approach was further compounded by their policy against sharing meals, which felt restrictive and lacked customer consideration.
Ultimately, we had no choice but to abandon our plan of tasting authentic Gujarati food and settled for a Chinese restaurant instead—a regrettable compromise given the purpose of our visit. As first-time visitors, this was a missed opportunity to enjoy the cuisine we came for and expected better flexibility and hospitality.
Sarvatt Restaurant may boast a reputation for its food, but policies that prioritize structure over customer experience can deter diners from returning. We sincerely hope they reconsider their approach and adopt more customer-friendly policies, especially for those who come in search of genuine...
