Hotel Golf View Sakura & Suites — Hotel in Gurugram District

Firstly, I would like to say that this is less of a Hotel and more of a Motel. Just damn bad in every sense. Here I go with my experience:

The staff is just not friendly and co-operative. They do not have enough staff to cater to the guests and even if they have couple of them, they are least interested in servicing the guests. Like I had a basic problem of unable to access the WiFi and I asked for the password from their front desk and they at first gave a wrong password, don’t know whether it was on purpose or unintentional. Then, I went to the room and called up the reception and the lady out there gave another password, which too didn’t work. She told she will send someone to my room to connect my laptop to the WiFi, but she didn’t send anyone to help, this being told to her twice over the call. The lady out there at the reception is of no use and just does all sort of time pass rather than helping the guests. I do not understand if you guys are so casual and unwilling to service the guests, better shut the motel down and look for some other business.

Now coming to the room, it lacked basic amenities, like a proper switchboard. The switchboards were broken, and 2 of them didn’t work as well. Only one of them was working, through which I had to charge my gadgets by taking turns. The AC doesn’t work and the fan makes quite some rusty noise. The beds are of Mughal era and will just make noise even if you just sit in them. The TV doesn’t work either, because the channels were not showing up. Too dimly lit rooms and makes you feel so damn dull. With respect to the bathroom, the flush wasn’t working fine and it had water seeping down the commode continuously for the whole 24 hours, they are least bothered to fix this leaking issue, thereby wasting hundreds of liters of water every single day. The hot water was not continuous and used to come for around 5-7 minutes and then the water used to turn cold. Had asked for a room change to them, but was denied saying all other rooms are full, wherein I could see quite some rooms vacant and unutilized.

There is nothing called as room service. There was no cleaning done and no garbage bins cleared up for 2 days that I stayed there, in spite of reminding the front desk about it, but as usual it fell into deaf ears as they are not interested in servicing the guests at all. The bedsheets and towels too are not changed and they just do not do it even after telling them to do it. This is the worst part of staying at this place. They do not provide as basic as a toothbrush and a toothpaste. They expect the guests to bring this with them and when asked for it, I was provided with one, that too after calling up the reception twice. The breakfast provided is not good either, with hardly any options. They only have 2 items in the menu for breakfast and nothing else apart from that. The taste too was not upto the mark and the tea and coffee was quite bad. They didn’t have any live counter to make dosas and stuff like that, which is quite common in other hotels.

I do not know how they come under a 3-star rated hotel. They should not be rated at all and should be turned down into a Motel. It’s a shame to call this a Hotel. Please refrain from falling in this trap and booking this Motel. You will surely regret it hard and will not have any option than to crib and pull through your days inside this sad place! Please DO NOT book this property as it is just too bad and the photos that they show in various travel sites are just hyped-up photos, that’s the trap which they lay for us to fall in and once we fall for it, there is no escape. Hence, avoid this and just keep it as a LAST option...

Generally it was good. ||Room (9/10) : Spacious room and good decor. Room feel cosy. I stayed in 102 and 202 on 2 different occasions. Only complaint is that these are also family rooms and so are joined to adjacent rooms via a door which is fair from soundproof so I would hear everything in the adjoining room. Also hall doors to common hall was also nor sound proof.||Cleaniness (6.5/10): Geneerally it was ok. But I dont know if it was routine service but I always had to ask for housekeeping rather than it to be offered. I stayed for 5 nights on both stays. The cleaning could be much better but it wasnt to bad either.||Staff (5.5/10) : Staff were nice, not openly friendly but not bad. One staff member just knocked and walked straight into my room with no notice but I corrected him and it didnt happen again. I locked my door constantly after that as there is no automatic lock system ||Food (6/10) : breakfast was not good at all, I didnt eat after first day. Poor selection of food even for Indian residents. Hardly anything for continental and always had to ask for beverages and could hear everything in the kitchen. Room food/menu food was good quality and good speed of service. Had no issue with anything I ordered. My recent stay at Hotel Golf View Gurgaon was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction.

A special mention must be made of Ms. Kajal, the receptionist, whose friendly and efficient service made a lasting impression. She was always ready with a smile and willing to assist with any queries or requests I had. Her positive attitude truly enhanced my stay.

The food quality at the hotel was superb. Every meal was a culinary delight, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The chefs clearly take pride in their work, and the quality of ingredients was evident.

Beyond the excellent food and service, I found the entire staff to be incredibly helpful kajal. They were always available to offer assistance, whether it was providing directions, arranging transportation, or simply offering recommendations for local attractions. Their attentiveness and dedication to customer service were truly commendable.
