Just came back from a play date at Going Bananas in South Point Mall. The staff including the management is so careless and negligble. Had a terrible experience. My kid's finger got stuck in te gap, which should not be even there. While going for the slide, when the kids take the steps and stand on the platform to walk towards the slide, there was a Gap where his finger got stuck and he got injured badly. And the staff did not even bother to inform me, wherein i was sitting in the dining area of the same play zone. When i saw him crying, he was sobbing badly and could not even express how and where did he got hurt. On asking the staff, the girl who was right there with him when all this happenend was like "kuch nahin hua, zara si lagi hai, maine khud dekha" bloody hell. The manager was hiding himself in one of the cabinet, all he could say was sorry. They dont even have
The swelling in his finger is bad, he is not able to make a fist or do any finger movements and i am just keeping my fingers crossed for the swelling to go (d'ont want any fracture) The play zone is not kid friendly at all and they dont even have enough staff to manage it well & proper first aid kit and Ice packs for such incidents. Hav'nt seen such ruthless staff anywhere else.
Reply to the Management (Since the option reply for the review is not open) Mr. Whoever, i've witnessed your extreme care and the way the play area is built, please do not boast about it. The staff was very limited and they were busy in their own stuff, rather than taking care of kids. You should visit other play zones to understand what i mean here. Why did the girl in question walk to the main desk instead of walking towards the eating section.? I was definately seated there for some time after the incident happened bcoz i came with a group and did not wanted to kill everyone's evening. You must check with your staff if the kid had really calmed down. The manager was busy in his own chores, did not even bother to come and ask about anything at all. And about the ice packs, either you are lying or your staff has no idea about what's available and what's not. Instead of Ice pack, i got Ice cubes in a paper tissue, i had to ask for a bowl again. About the CCTV, i am really looking forward to see that soon. Just pray that nothing serious happens to...

I recently visited the Going Bananas Cafe and had an unfortunate experience regarding the payment process that warrants attention. Today, after enjoying a delightful cup of coffee with my wife, I mistakenly believed she had settled the bill, prompting me to step outside. To my dismay, I later discovered that the payment had not been made.
This incident raises an important question about the cafeâs current payment practices. Why is the bill not presented at the table, similar to the way the coffee is served? It seems counterintuitive that patrons must approach the counter for payment after enjoying their drinks. Additionally, I noticed empty cups left on tables after consumption, which could suggest that staff should proactively inquire if customers need the bill or if they desire anything further. Such an approach could prevent future misunderstandings and enhance the overall dining experience.
The management should consider implementing improvements in their service protocol to avoid potential embarrassment for customers. A more streamlined and customer-friendly approach to billing could significantly enhance the cafeâs overall atmosphere and operational efficiency. It is essential for the management to address these concerns to foster a more pleasant experience for...
Read moreGoing Bananas is a childrenâs play area located on the first floor of South Point Mall, with a cafĂ© (called One Fine Day) beside it. The play area has the usual brightly-coloured plastic/rubber structures, ball pools etc that younger children and toddlers can jump about in; beside the entrance there is also a large collection of books and comics, including stuff aimed at older children.
A door leads from Going Bananas into One Fine Day (though thereâs another door into the corridor outside too, so you can enter the cafĂ© without going to the play area at all). One side of the cafĂ©, abutting the play area, has a counter table running the length of the wall, with chairs where you can sitâand a long âwindowâ looking into the play area, so you can sit here, have your tea/coffee/food, and still keep an eye on your kids (though they have attendants who supervise the children and make sure all is well).
We were here briefly with another couple, whose child (and ours) were in the play area. The children enjoyed themselves a lot, while we adults had good cutting chai and coffee (accompanied by very nice complimentary biscuits), and later crinkle-cut fries that the kids loved. The café does serve more substantial foods too, like...
