South Point Mall looks a little worn and somewhat shabby, especially in comparison to the newer and more fashionable malls, such as Ambience. It doesnât have the predictable big brands that are so common in larger malls, but is instead focused on smaller, more independent stores, which makes it a refreshing change from the cookie-cutter âNCR mallâ. About the only major brands that I saw were the large food stores Le Marche and Natureâs Basket, plus a few others like FabIndia, Geetanjali, and Benetton.
There are plenty of smaller stores, from beauty salons to specialty East Asian food stores, bookshops (Quill and Canvas is a very happening bookstore-cum-art gallery that hosts regular book events); gift shops; a childrenâs play area (Going Bananas), a school of music (Academy of Integral Music and Research), and much more. The mall seems to cater heavily to the Japanese/Korean expats in Gurugram, with plenty of restaurants that specialize in Japanese/Korean food: Haru, Manami, Sibang Bakery, and so on.
