Read moreI had just finished watching La La Land (the movie) and remembered that there was a restaurant which had the same name. So I called up my bf and we headed for a lunch date. I dressed up in a yellow dress and he was in a blue shirt; we wanted to create our own La La Land moments. The restaurant was appealingly decorated - beautiful chandeliers, exquisite bar, casino tables with plush seating and table-top streetlamps. We took a ton of our own photos with all these elements. A little stage (for bands) and a projector and screen was also present. There are two levels for sitting along with a smoking zone at the entrance. The service was impeccable and all the dishes, drinks and desserts we ordered were delectable.
Dishes: ~ Persian Style Mutton Seekh Kebab: Flavoursome and succulent! 2 thick mutton seekh kebabs served with green chutney and onion. ~ Spicy Meatballs: 6 pieces of juicy meatballs cooked in an appetising sauce, served on cute little skewers with a farfalle pasta with each meatball. ~ Hummus Toast: A hummus bruschetta topped with sundried tomatoes and greens. Yummy starter! ~ Nasi Goreng: Served with Fried Egg, Chicken on Skewers, pickled cucumber and side salad with greens. Loved the generous helping of shrimps in the enticing fried rice. The chicken skewers were great too. I love a peanut chutney with chicken satay and this would be a suggestion to add it to the platter.
Desserts: ~ Blueberry Cheesecake: Tasty! ~ Crème Brûlée: Enjoyable!
Drinks: ~ House brewed wheat beer: My fav beer out of the options offered here. ~ House brewed lager beer: My second fav beer out of the options offered here. ~ Spring Garden Cocktail: Vodka based refreshing cucumber cooler. ~ Fizzy Passion Cocktail: Gin and sparkling wine based delish passion...
