Hotel Combermere — Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

Had worst experience with the staff here, the folks at the reception desk are so arrogant and discourteous. Had encounter with 2 reception guys, ANIL and HARISH, who, at the time of penthouse booking and payment, assured us for complete assistance which we were looking for, as we were were a group of 6 with 2 enfants as well. However, our experience went completely opposite to what we had thought. These guys assured to provide extra bedding within the quoted price, but at checkout they kept on asking for extra bedding payments and went completely greedy, even demanded extra payment for a 6 month old baby's milk. There are other issues as well with the hotel, The hotel offers a separate lift for mall road, however that's completely useless. You'll have to change 2-3 lifts atleast which are too confusing as they are on opposite ends, I feel the paid lift is more easy to reach to the mall road The service at the hotel is very poor, these guys have limited staff which takes minimum 1-1.5 hours to deliver your dining. Last but not the least, these guys will tell you that they have valet parking facility within the premises, but they actually park your vehicle in the paid parking which closes at 10 pm, also for parking, you'll have to bear the charges per hour so if you got any emergency or if you wanna to go out for food or anything, you don't have any options except staying in your room. PS- Room dining closes at 10. This hotel will also not provide you even the basic facilities, which you'll get even in any normal 2-3 star property, dental kits, slippers, clean towels etc, these guys are also misers, when it comes to provide spoons or plates when any guest asks for it

So eventually, you'll end up spoiling your vacation when you opt to stay at this property. Being a passionate traveller, wouldn't recommend book...

*Worst Christmas 2020 in Hotel Combermere Shimla. *

Such a brand name in itself in Shimla but they have provided the worse services ever seen after paying a good price.

We booked 2 rooms from 25th Dec 2020 - 27 Dec 2020.

On arrival, the rooms were not cleaned and were stinky also. This is when they had confirmed the arrival time 3 hours earlier.

On Xmas 2020, buffet dinner was served and it was all cold. Guests had to wait long for the chapattis. Moreover after making you wait for half an hour for the dessert, in the name of gulab jamun they give rasgulla.

On 27th dec morning (cold breezy wind is outside) when there is huge rush at breakfast and guests are waiting, the management didnt permit the staff to accommodate the guests in the covered area instead ask to sit in cold open only.

*In case you complaint about the services , instead of resolving the same they will blame you back. *

*Worst management specially Mr Rakesh Sharma and Mr Chauhan. * Hotel is understaffed.

At breakfast tome, only 4 staff persons were available who were running to complete the orders. Security guards are made to lift luggage. Moreover they'll don't have there own parking area.

Hello I had a 1 day stay at Hotel Combermere by name Amit Raj on 25 May’24 Afternoon and booked pent house.I found hotel very over priced as per the price the services are ridiculous.Extremely slow services as I am going to mention here :- 1.No dental kits in the washrooms 2.Called for press but came after half an hour Luggage kept at the reception for almost 1 and a half hour and we are waiting for the luggage. There was no slippers provided in the room for the guests.

REVIEWS ABOUT FOOD - 1.Ordered Virgin mojito which was extremely sour and cold , even after mentioning that don’t put any ice. Tasteless food platter veg and non veg and dinne meal. Quality doesn’t match the PRICE.

REVIEW ABOUT PARKING :-

1.As I have carried my 6 months old baby girl and standing in the sunlight for almost 1 hour just for our own car and the driver made it too late and gave the excuse that I wasn’t able to turn the car in front of the Hotel then why charging hefty amounts when you can’t meet the pilgrim’s expectations.
